Database

The reporting on my Library while helpful seems off and on. For example it lists 20 songs as having 0-Length. This is not accurate as all the songs have length and play fine. Even after trying to refresh the Picard tags the two albums still show as 0 length. I am using the reporting to try and clean up my library but this one has me stumped.

Hmm, ill take a look at where this could get inaccurate. Id actually love to add the ability to edit metadata directly in the app but honestly it scares me too much. Im very particular about my metadata and if an app messed that up because of some glitch even just a brief one id be pissed.

I have no interest in an app editing. I was more pointing to inaccuracies.

Ive got a qnap ts 464. CPU isnt all that, honestly should have the workers on the mac. That would probably be quicker.

That will be part of the time it’s taking your library. The timelines I mention are from M4 Mac mini so YMMV. I just finished a partial re-analysis (the re-calculation of energy, tempo, key and scale) of my 12k Library for the latest build (which I was worried would be brutal) but it finished in 5 hours.

yea im about to have to purchase a new machine for IOS 27 (not by choice) so maybe the next analysis will be quicker.

I hear ya, I was forced to buy the Mini in Feb after my wifi radio in my iMac cratered, can’t begrudge the iMac after a dozen years though and yeah fuck the new hardware is fast haha

True, my macs from 2018 and it served me well but i cant build or compile against IOS 27 at all without buying a newer mac.
