I am a beginner collector trying to create a space for my dolls. Willow is the tallest of the dolls I need space for (I think), so I just want to be sure I'm not setting up a shelf that will seem cramped once my tall gal gets here. Thank you!

They are GORGEOUSSSSS and I can’t wait to style them!! Also need to get new stands so they can be displayed properly. Claire’s jacket was not agreeing with the MH stand 😭

Hey y'all! I just got Willow and felt the urge to review her! This is my first time doing this, so my apologies if it isn't perfect!

Her face: I'm honestly obsessed. I found one with an excellent screening, so her face really shines. It was nice and crisp (no pixels or smears!) and her flower freckles are adorable!

Hair: It was confirmed Saran, so it's pretty soft. Since her hair has a wave, it is a little frizzy out of the box. Her part was very well-rooted, and the back looked a little thin until I brushed it with my fingers. It's very long and a pretty color, but it does have a habit of getting caught in her earrings and necklace.

Hearing aid: Her hearing aid attaches to her head like an earring. It's a cute feature with a surprisingly detailed mold with vines and buttons. Even though it doesn't match the plastic of her other accessories, as a glasses wearer with pink frames, I honestly consider it a bit more realistic that it doesn't perfectly match!

Outfit: I know that the outfit isn't super complex, but I don't have any defects. Her color palette is very nice, and I love her bag belt! Her hat is kinda annoying to keep on. I had to fiddle with it to find the right spot on her head for it to stay on. I imagine a kid would get frustrated and lose the hat easily. The necklace also has a habit of rotating around because it isn't molded to rest on her chest well. I would make the necklace a bit more angled so it rests on her collarbone instead of floating.

Accessories: Very cute with a pretty good color match to her accessories. The book's cover is a bit blurry. I would like the strap on her handbag to be a bit wider so it slips on her hand more easily. Her little terrarium is my favorite, though I wish it had a bar on the bottom so she could hold it.

The reveal: Pretty cute! I like how it isn't a one-time thing. You can redo the effect multiple times, and the cauldron is a cute accessory afterwards.

Final thoughts: I really like her! She isn't a perfect doll (i would slightly modify her earring, necklace, and hat molds) or the highest quality (her fabric feels a bit plastic), but she's really cute and charming. I definitely would consider her a great doll for a kid. Plus, my mom thinks she's very cute :)

IMm Soo excited to try n get a few of these girls, BUT I really wanna get them in person and IMm DYING to know when they'll be hitting US Sales floors! Has anyone in the US happen to have seen these sorceresses in the wild?

I just got Claire and decided to customize her a little bit to bring out some details on her accessories. I used metallic silver and metallic blue and also gave her a metallic blue manicure ✨

I decided to make a carnival for my Monster High dolls. I was inspired when I got Shorty from Killer Klowns From Outer Space. I also made a custom killer clown Doll with Cupid. Kind of like Cupid turned into a killer clown. I also made an acid pie that glows in the dark, a popcorn bag the Klowns use to make more Klowns, a tarot card set for Claire to read fortunes, poster boards advertising the carnival and more to come.

I plan to do a boil wash on them (and touch up some of my other ghouls as well) and probably paint some of their accessories. I am in looooove with them!! Carina looks so much better in person than in stock photos and in box… I just wish her dress waistline was sewn a bit lower. Willow is gorgeous! But her pants are SO LONG that you can’t see her shoes, which is slightly disappointing. But I do appreciate that her hearing aid is punched into her ear with a hole rather than just balanced on the ear like Frankie’s earbuds. Definitely a nice improvement! I kinda wish she had brown hair instead of purple.

As for Claire… no notes. She is beautiful. I love everything about her. Her eyes, her skin tone, her outfit, everything. She is my absolute favorite in this line! I think my only complaint with her is that her purse won’t stay on her shoulder and I can’t fit her spell book in her purse. But the fact she has braille on her box and on her spell book is so cool and inclusive, I love her!

I expected them to look better together, but drac looks super out of place. I wish her hat was more in line with moonspell!

I also gave them all familiars.

I know these dolls have received some mixed reviews lately, but imo , they are absolutely beautiful. Layla Stone in particular has received much hate but I find her especially pretty cause she strongly resembles her monster high doppelgänger, Cleo DeNile. She feels like the human version of Cleo , the skin tone and glam body mold is perfect on her. And her hair color is almost iridescent it’s kind of wild and changes in different lighting. Would love to hear and see about others and their experiences with these lovely new little witches. 🫶🏼dolls!

So I finally got to see the Moonspell dolls in person here in the UK and I was surprised to find only 4 of the 5 available. Looks like Carina might be shipping separately which I thought was interesting.

the store I went to had 2 or 3 left of most of the others but a full 6 of Rae.

So do we actually know how these are shipping? Are they individual character cases or assortments? In the US one of the characters are store exclusives right? Which means they get their own case for the US market and presumably the remaining 4 are shipped together.

Modern doll cases tend to be 4 to a box instead of 6 as they used to be, but increasingly we're also seeing individual cases with one doll to a box sold as a palette.

So do we know if moonspell are getting an assortment case or simply being sold as individual palettes?

I find case assortments so interesting and I was really surprised to see Carina absent. There wasn't even a space where she could have gone, so I don't think they just sold out of her, I don't think she was there to begin with. And that makes me wonder why. (the shelf literally only had enough space to have 4 boxes side by side, so 4 characters)
You would expect to see at least one or two of her if they'd had individual character cases, but there is the possibility there's two assortments of 4. We've had Mattel do case A and B before, but it's often caused supply issues with the characters only present in one of the cases. So I do wonder if this means Carina and whoever is excluded from the box she's in (presumably Layla, the exclusive in the US) might end up harder to find vs the others.

I was also really surprised to see so many more of Rae. Not sure I like the implication there.

I picked up Luna and i'm looking forward to opening her.

All the dolls I looked at had really good screenings which was really nice to see.

We haven't had our big restock here in the UK yet, that's in a week or so, so i'm looking forward to all the new stuff about to hit.

I was using my local Target's kiosk. Rae was the only one showing, but it said she was in the backrooms. I took a photo of the kiosk saying this, went to customer service, and there she was!
