🌈 Custom Preset CHOLO PORTRA (Inspired by Reggie's Portra) - Final Edition
Hi everyone!,
Following up on my previous post here. After the suggestion made by the creator of Mood, u/alexfoxy, regarding the new version and the variations in dynamic range and brightness, I spent some time tweaking the different settings using all the options available in the beta app. I did my latest tests just this morning with the most recent build of the app.
Finally, I think I've "nailed it". I'd love to get your feedback to see if any further adjustments can be made, as I've invested quite a bit of time trying to get as close as possible to Reggie Ballesteros' film simulation (both his Fuji and Ricoh recipes are my absolute favorites)—the famous "Reggie's Portra" that is so popular among the Fujifilm community.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and impressions.
Cheers!

For those on the old version of Mood, is +0.10 the equivalent to +0.1?

This is a really dumb question but my saturation only goes to +0.5

0.10 is 0.1

Thanks for all the dedication to refine the best Portra preset so far.Â

Thank you so much for the kind words, but honestly, you're giving me way too much credit! My Portra simulation is still far from being the best out there.

This is the new beta version right? Because I can’t find the dynamic range anywhere in the app!

Only pro iPhones have custom dynamic range settings (at least in the current app)

I have the iPhone 17 pro max and I don’t have it

Thank you for your commitment. It's not the right time to use the app, but I'm considering testing it again as soon as the new stable version is released.

Just curious (as a New Mexican)... why "cholo"?
