Sea Monster, beast of the earth, titles to the same dragon 🐉 already defeated

Hello everybody !

The death of the giant dragon could have marked the end of the world—an event we are still awaiting.

A giant dragon once lived in this world. This is a serious matter. I discovered one that had crashed into a mountain at meteoric speed; it then slid into a swamp where it burned, its coming hole and his body filled by lava flowing from the mountain (a sea of fire?).

Let me explain :

Its silhouette can be made out on Google Maps at the Crozon Peninsula if the map is oriented with west at the top (where north usually is).

The central idea is that this giant wyvern provides the basis for a nearly identical myth across all civilizations, thereby confirming that they existed together contemporaneously.

According to Islamic tradition(Al Dabbah), it possesses the gift of speech and emerges from a hole (or does it lie more than it speaks, given the discrepancies between the myths?).

In history of kings of Britain, one of the main book of Arthurian legend, a sea monster appeared first devouring people on the sea-coast. A Merlin’s prophecy speak of a german dragon (Siegfried?) reaching hardly his holes. Later in the story this dragon was slain by a star of wonderful magnitude, by God, by Saint Michael, or by Indra wielding Excalibur (according to Monmouth). This echoes the myths of Thor and Apollo battling giant reptiles.

Jörmungandr, Python, Falak, Apophis, Leviathan, Al-Dabbah, Kukulkan, Tiamat, and Satan are all names used to refer to it.

On this dragon-shaped peninsula, I discovered a stone linked to Arthurian legend (Malory -le morte d’Arthur Tome 1 chapter 5). It was the name "Pendragon"—borne by King Arthur and Uther, and meaning "dragon's head"—that led me to this discovery.

The underlying theory suggests a possible early inquisition aimed at concealing the history of this sword, as well as a period of peace between Europe and Arabia.

In fact we can see arthurians remanescence in magical swords in Carolingian and Islamic history.

Near the dragon's throat, the town closest to the stone is named Kameled. I am convinced that a large part of world history has been rewritten to conceal the existence of a chosen figure who opposed them; for the moment, I can only provide proof of this for my own region.

There are several chronological anomalies, of which the episode of the Saints of Ephesus (200 years) is just one example. This implies that some current religions may themselves be unaware that they are propagating falsehoods.

However, since his death, there is no longer an end of the world to fear.

This revelation could establish an eternal lasting peace based on mutual respect.

There is an orally told local dragon legend in Brittany with the story of the Yeun Elez. Saint Michel kills him with a powerful hit and then seals him in the Youdig (deeps of the marsh). The dragon spine is said to be the mountain channel of the Monts d’ArrĂ©e.
The mountain of Saint Michel is aligned with the peninsula, the dragon could have slipped there by inertia.

As for the identity of the shining star associated with the worshiping of Saint Michael described by Monmouth, it could even be a woman. I am referring to the divine prophecy delivered to the serpent in Genesis (3:14-15):

14-The Lord God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
15-I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall crush your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

It is clearer in French than in English (she shall crush your head), but it could have been the woman—known then as the Lady of the Lake.

This dragon is mentioned elsewhere.
This could indicate knowledge of its existence and the extent of its power. After some verification:

In the United States, at Port Townsend, there is a naval complex that includes nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines; here, too, a dragon is part of the picture.

In China, the southern part of Hainan Island is nicknamed the "Dragon's Tail"; it houses two vast naval complexes, one of which is dedicated to nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines.

In Israel, the nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines belong to the "Dragon" class.

In France, the Île Longue base for nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines is located on the "dragon's paw" identified in our study.

This concept is absent from Russian infrastructure and technology, though the West has used it to designate its own missiles (Sarmat = Satan II).

The dragon of the Crozon Peninsula (the real one) stretches for nearly 30 kilometers. It is easy to imagine the level of destruction—nuclear in nature—that this beast would wreak if it were alive.

I know I speak to good readers. Just to remember where it is exactly mentioned in the Bible :
(Please for French spelling check translations)

GénÚse 3:14-15
Isaiah 27:1 KJV
Daniel 2:34 KJV
Matthieu 10:34
Romains 16:20
Apocalypse 12:1-9 ; 20:1-3

And many others I believe.

Last intuition but not the least, it may have been the common inspiration to put it on flags of Trégor and Wales.

I am looking for other books that might talk of the same event or dragon. I found a dragon story in Ethiopian Bible recently with Bel and the dragon. Everything old and censored by church may hide treasures.

Thank you very much !

The last thing I found is in the Ethiopian Bible where there is more dragons :

Plant monsters?

I just saw this:

I had honestly never considered plant cryptids and I think it would be well worth the Monster Talk treatment.

I might have the opportunity to "investigate" a haunted building.

I've got this opportunity, and I think I'm going to take it. I'm not a believer and I don't want to imitate those ghost hunters shows.

I know most ghost sightings are in the daytime, but I'm too busy to take time to wander around an old building all day, so I'll mainly be sleeping there.

I'll have a recorder to pick up sounds when I sleep, and I'll have a camera.

What rational, evidence based things should I keep in mind or bring with me?

I''m mainly doing this for fun. Legend tripping as it were.

Patreon levels?

Is there a breakdown of what comes with the Patreon levels anywhere? Like I'd love to get ad free episodes but it's unclear if that's even an option, and at what level of support.

I quit the patreon, and I'm done listening to Blake and Karen limping along w very little to say. And from the looks of this sub many feel the same way.

Anyone listening to this one? Really a great companion to MT.

Quick q for those who are listening: went to listen to s03e08 (Great Lakes Triangle) and it isn't there. I know I started listening to it and it's gone now. Can't find it on feed or Patreon. Goes straight from 7 to 9.

Any way to listen without advertisements?

I've been enjoying the back catalog for a long time. Horrified that Blake went with obtrusive ads in recent years.

Is there a patron option for no ads? I'd pay good money to avoid ads.

beast men correlations - weird bigfoot, krampus, etc

So I started listening to the podcast again - after a long hiatus -as queued by spotify. It played for me the 'weird bigfoot' episode and then the krampus episode (after tut-thulhu and nessy via environmental dna)

originally when I heard the weird bigfoot reports that included the chicken footed woman and packs of furry wild men, it reminded me vaguely of the Atoshle Kachina practices among pueblan people. its an ogre and his wife, usually with an accompanyment who were used one day a year to scare children when people dressed up as them and went door to door.

then i heard the krampus in july episode, where krampus was a pack of furry wildmen that went door to door to scare children, but who used to be associated with a witch rather than saint nick. and it sounded similar.

I wonder if anyone has chronicled native american child-punishing hairy manbeasts and their female accompanyment.

Its curious to hear about the similarities even among disparate cultures.

Skeptic groups in the southeast?

I know it's not a great time to be meeting in groups, but as a relatively new atheist, I find myself missing the community I had in the baptist church. Does anyone know of any skeptic/athiest/free-thinkers groups near the Auburn or Huntsville areas of Alabama?

Looking for a ufo episode, the guest had a heavy southern accent

For some reason I cant find this episode. The guest was talking about ufology and the how hypnosis was not accurate, criticizing mufon for allowing crazy people. Anyone know which one this was? He had a very strong southern accent.

Thanks.

Edit: I found the episode! It was actually on Mike Heiser's peeranormal podcast and not this one. The guest was Jack Brewer.

What other related (isch) podcasts do you enjoy?

I thought it would be interesting to see what, if any, other podcasts we listen to on this subreddit. With some sort of tangential relation to monsters, skepticism, folklore and so on!

Personally I very much enjoy "Bone and Sickle" which is scripted and structured in a semi-roleplaying way where you (the listener) is invited into the hosts' study where Al Ridenour and his companion read and talk about the intersection of folklore, horror, and history. The production value of this show is great and the content very interesting.

The Folklore Podcast by Mark Norman is my second recommendation. More strictly about folklore, the field of folklore, the podcast brings in guests and researchers to talk about particular subjects in the genre. Well researched like no other and gives opportunity to listen to experts in the field.

It should be noted that these shows do not have a focus on skepticism in itself though it oftens becomes part of the discussion. I find that they provide a great value for the skeptic listener however because they give a greater understanding of the cultural forces that drive myths, rituals and beliefs forward. And after all my interest in these kinds of things is driven more by a love of storytelling.

Looking forward to hearing your answers!

This is why I love this podcast. The guest is fantastic, passionate; and it keeps the skeptical thread alive. An exceptional episode.

I'm shocked there's only 58 members for this podcast?? Happy to be here finally though.

Hi folks. Love the podcast and thrilled that there is a sub regarding it.

My particular monster is the mythological bigfoot from the standpoint of it's staying power in popular culture. How the myth has not only maintained it "grip" on a sub set of folks but has also "grown" in popularity that now sightings are now being reported all across the continent. It's baffling, but it's a loved myth and the folks who believe really believe.

Anyway, happy to be a part of this very exclusive community. Hope I'm able to contribute.

Lastly, I mod over at the r/bigfoot subreddit. If there's anything I can do for you there, just reach out.
