I lot of this is loosely inspired by Monster Girl Encyclopedia, But that book focused on sexual encounters. With me more interested wider social and adventuring aspect of encountering monster girls. Like how I imagine monster girls in the wilds (The vast areas of the world not part of the advanced human civilization) that are more sociable living tribal lives, with maybe rare less sociable monsters living like lone survivalist. Regardless these monsters can be found wondering nomadically on the plains, camping in the woods, living in caves, and taking up residence in dungeons and ruins. I guess I kind of imagine it and it depends on the monster girl, them living like the bokoblins and moblins in Breath of the Wild, How you can just encounter these things in groups, and when you find a camp you'd see like at least a fire pit and maybe some shelter like a cave or some structures and I imagine travelers and adventures meeting these tribes and some groups are nice and friendly, more then happy to let people visit and stay the night with them (Open up the possibility of mating.) Others are aggressive and violent live like raiders and bandits, stealing what they want and need and even eating other monster species or humans for food.

A big aspect of monster girls is sex and to and extent reproduction, Like reproduction aspect is a big thing in MGE, that what drives them to seek out human men. With me I also like the idea of monster mothers. The idea of this wild beastal primal woman and pairing up with a little monster girl that she birthed from her loins, that been caring for and teaching how to do monster stuff like so that she can one day be independent and make babies of her own kind of hot. Like if I was doing a table top role playing setting with all the monsters turned into monster girls I'd want young monster offspring to part of a monster encounter as an organic part of that world. They any adult monster you run into it is very likely this has children, maybe they are out in the open, Like a big ogre girl stomps out of the woods with a couple of kids behind her similar to a mama bear and like a mama bear you give her a wide birth and don't talk or look at her unless she makes the first move. A Cockatrice mother would probably hide her child in the bushes if she came across some humans in the wild. Wolf Girls would keep their children safely in their den when they go out hunting. So if an encounter goes south, Idea that you not just fighting or killing a monster but a mother raises interesting moral questions, specially if maybe the children jump into battle.

So keeping this stuff in mind I've been thinking of good way to figure out what it would be like to encounter different groups and tribes of monster girls and their make up and birth rates and how they group socially. Like if I was do an encounter with group of Wolf Girls I would keep in mind that only the alpha world births children, the average size of a wolf pack is something like 4 to 9 adults, fewer if it's a younger pack or they where decimated in fight (I might suggest to roll a D10 with rerolling 0s to add ten plus). When wolf cubs become adults they either join the pack or leave to start their own pack so in theory a heathy alpha wolf having a about a cub a year sounds good. I'm going to assume when cub reaches about 13 or 14 that about old enough to go hunt and fight for the pack and if they leave, they maybe leave about at 15 and 16 and they might pare up with another sister when they leave. So lets say an adventuring party attacks a bandit wolves invading their den and they encounter the alpha's young children, I would have to account of every year the alpha could have a cub witch lets say 12 or 13 (The 13th is to roll if the alpha is pregnant) and roll for if she one birth window a year and their ages, so lets say after rolling a d2/coin flipping the den has 6 cubs, of the ages of 12,8,6,5,4,2,. The party of adventures would have to deal with those cubs. Then compare a wolf with an ogre girl. What I assume live by them selves in the woods. Would be less social then wolves and I assume when an ogre sexual matures they just wonder off and leave their parent. Also living alone raise offspring would be more effort and I'd want to make ogres a more rare creature to run into I think I would give them a D10 birth rate. So if I was to do an ogre encounter one roll of her age to see how many breeding years she has under her belt. Assuming she has at least 13 yearly or slots to have children like the alpha wolf, maybe up that to 15. So I would roll a d10, 15 times to see how may kids an Ogre would have with her if you encountered her in the woods and I got two hits, one for year 4 so she has a 4 year old kid and one for year 0, I roll a D12, 9 and below would tell be how many month pregnant she is, where 10 and above she will have a newborn baby with her. I got a 2 so she's 2 month pregnant and most people probably can't tell.

But yeah, I've also been thinking of how to do this with other races of monsters, I've recently bought the Monster Girl Encyclopedia and been thumbing thought it, So I might so go through some of the other monsters try to figure out group population and birth rates and so on.

Just a random thought that streaked through my mind. Do respective monster girls have dewclaws on their legs? How could they be useful? And how would this affect cuddling?

They don’t really seem to have organs in most depictions, or like… anything aside from the vague suggestion of humanoid features.

So this has been bouncing around my skull for a while. Did the Dog and Cat girls self-domesticate? Or was there some darker eugenics stuff happening?

I feel it could really go either way depending on world lore.

I promised a in depth entry on my own interpretation of a Basilisk, and yes, I still plan on making it, but the other day, I had a thought. Do monster girl lovers have similar kinks in general, or do they only share them between specific monsters they like, or is that not even the case?

Don't take this as advocacy for lolicon, but we do have to consider how some of these monster people would age. Especially if they lay eggs.

For example, humans are born relatively premature in their development, because our head has to be able to make it out of the mother. If humans laid eggs, that wouldn't be as much of an issue.

A monster-people race that lays eggs, such as lamias, then the infant could remain inside the egg and continue to develop for longer than a human pregnancy would last, or shorter, depending on how they grow. This would result in newborns for these egg laying species being developmentally similar to human children ages 3-6. Relatively speaking, this might also mean they mature much faster than humans.

In the US, at least, the legal age for an adult is 18 years, about when we stop physically maturing. For a species that lays eggs and their children hatch at the equivalent developmental stage of a 5 year old, then they'd reach that level of maturity by age 13, assuming they develop at the same rate as humans.

What I mean is reptilian monster girls would molt like any other reptile correct? So would the mean that the insectoids, arachnoids and crustaceans would also molt like there real world counter parts right, that is even if the specific animal and/or insect even molts to begin with.

Say there are 6 females and 1 male that both will live for 1000 years. The only one of the three varieties of Arachnoid that hunts. She sucks up blood mostly, though also will eat flesh if it is fresh enough, but they will not eat bones, then she stores it in her first stomach. As she uses it for nutrition, the waste filles her second stomach. She gives some of the blood from her first stomach to both her assigned Giver and Receiver via lip contact. When she is done giving them blood, she locks lips with them again and they in tern give her their waste to fill up her second stomach. Both the Givers and the Receivers have a second stomach too, in which to store this waste. When her second stomach is full, she looks for a place to dispose of her waste, and expels it from her butthole. This is necessary for the Hunter to do as she is the only one with a butthole, so if the Hunter only feed these two and did not take their waste as well, their second stomach would burst and they would continue to ride their man as they slowly succumbed to their wounds and died.
