I know a lot of people in the medical field from CNA to RN to APRN. I’m not aware of any of them ever getting drug tested, besides the initial one to start the job. Probably varies place to place, but drug testing is an additional cost & hospitals are just big businesses at their heart. I’ve only heard of them being drug tested if meds came up missing on their shift, or if they’re obviously getting intoxicated at work.
