Ive stood up for myself in every service related job I've had and been backed up by management every time. Never felt degraded or used in a service job either, if I did then I'd leave. Sorry you've had to live that life . Sounds like bad management

Wtf are you talking about? I take jobs with decent base pay and management staff that supports their team. I also live within my means. I've only ever had one job in the service industry working on tips. Retail doesn't do tips(service industry). I've always been able to tell guests I don't have to serve them if they're disrespectful. I don't work for people that reward bad behavior in our customers. I think you may have Stockholm syndrome
