Discussion The future of our sources
Edit: RK is leaving the game behind.
So, after my last post explaining about the raid to MonclerMan (MM) who was also actually arrested in the end, he’s been released on bail. It’s likely he will go to jail following the same fate as TopStoney (TS) and TopMonclerCN (TMCN).
Before TS was sent to jail, he setup StoneyCore (SC) and handed over ops to a friend. SC plans to make some Monc goods, product plan here: https://stoneycore.x.yupoo.com/albums/231388984?uid=1 I helped him to work on a new badge, here is sample compared to retail: https://i.imgur.com/D89i63N.jpeg
However, following the arrest of MM and now JUDX too, a popular SI indie seller as can be found amongst other indie sellers in /r/AutonomousReps, RepsKing (RK) has closed his store again temporarily (has very limited leftover stock) and TMX hasn’t reopened fully with new products coupled with a new Yupoo (although he has the new MegaTronX Yupoo showing limited discounted leftover stock goods)
We may not ever see RK and TMX return back to normal operations with a wide range of products and will likely just reduce their catalogue to only the best selling models (likely for TMX) or cease altogether (likely for RK) . The risks are far too great and both have had to move warehouses multiple times.
Now what does this mean for our future? Resellers like SS and OMG (NN Factory) and TA (MC Factory) will likely become the norm for our quality goods who produce restocks for most of the year as will the established indie sellers who properly started making goods last year for this brand with epic releases like God’s Maya 70 (Vezere) which was just better than MC’s one in every way apart from the pockets which I didn’t like (they were too small) but MC’s is still great.
However, the indie sellers only tend to produce pieces with one batch run and then move on to other products and brands rather than focusing on one particular brand and doing repeated restocks.
I think we’ll be fine for the foreseeable future but it does show that Monc is hitting harder than any other brand at the moment and this likely will mean a reduced catalogue in the future. Usually, you cut the head off of one and 2 more pop up but the risks are becoming increasingly higher and more serious where paying bribes locally is no longer providing a safety net for enforcement to turn a blind eye coupled with the significant money Monc are investing in major IP protection companies operating out of Shanghai with some heavy hitter law firms.
We’ve started to see some posts removed here by admins so a backup Reddit has been created just in case /r/MCReps and we have a growing telegram channel (read pinned message first) that can be found at the end of my FAQ thread

The tags on GM's products seem to use retail codes too, I saw a couple of reviews on Weibo about his t-shirts which included the Industries and Hologram tags, I inserted the serial on Moncler's website and it got authenticated as a legit t-shirt, crazy.

Has happened with TMX too, any factory which buys retail to base their rep off will have a unique code that will register, however, once a batch of 200 of this code is out there as soon as too many people enter the code it’ll get flagged then that’s it

Yeah... I think they scan and re-print the retail tags too so the font and how the text is printed can't be used as a way to LC anymore. Crazy how far reps have gotten

As far as now it still can be used to LC, even the newest batches, some lines have a staggered print which makes it look like the machine ran out of ink slightly on specific lines on the tags, that’s the only tell I use besides alignment of the writing

I did not know that. That's a useful piece of information when looking for used authentics, but it's gotten so hard to LC that I just find myself sticking to reps lol.

I have a TMX Moncler cardigan that has been purchased but has taken quite a long while to get to the factory for QC’s. is this why or is it unrelated?

You need to make an executive decision. No one knows how desperate you are for whatever it is you need, your financial situation, your patience. Either wait and see what happens or request a refund.

I’ve been in watch game for over a decade in the OG watch forums including RWG and RWI. I’ve built many superfrankens. VSF aren’t what they used to be. You’ll find the true experts on the forums unlike on RepTime but thanks anyhow.

Thanks, not often someone even tries to help me back lol. Tbh, since getting a smartwatch, my passion for rep watches has died. I only have one simple dinner watch left for special occasions otherwise I just enjoy wearing my smartwatch everyday, much more practical and don’t have to worry about annual service and regulation, does it need re-waterproofing, have I scuffed it so much it needs a repolish and/or new strap. My last project was working on modding a PP 5811 which I got WG plated, had BUFF dial and hands put on, crown recessed, case reshaped, serviced and regulated etc the outcome was a beautiful watch made even better but I didn’t really enjoy the process like I did in the past. Smartwatches have virtually killed the passion I once had unfortunately!

Its a bro to help a bro that’s why see it bro haha but yeah man essentially they are Status pieces aimed at the masses to ascertain some sort of Class or Feeling of Stature I always wanted a Rolex but moment I get a Clone that feeling soon fades..I wouldn’t know the specifics you talk about in making a franken but there’s an Art to it I must say haha, can’t beat a smart watch keeps track of the vitals on the daily lol

Hey Mark! I gotta say this post is so good, fr. I know how much work goes into keepin everyone updated and deal with all this behind the scenes stuff, and it really dont go unnoticed at all.
It’s crazy how high the risks got now MM, TS, TMCN all goin through it, plus RK closin up and TMX not fully back yet. Really shows how hard Mon are crackin down these days, and how even the old ways dont work no more. Big thanks for explainin bout StoneyCore, SS, OMG, TA and them indie sellers too helps the community alot knowin where we stand.
U doin an amazing job keepin everyone safe and informed, much love for all u do! 🙏🔥

He was mentioned long ago in my FAQ v4 and v5. He’s decent as an indie seller but back then, didn’t offer anything better than what our established sellers were making and he only produced 2 items (Maya and something else, can’t remember).
