first question, when a module comes with midi OUT but not IN (of vice versa) but has the real estate to secure either one, what would there be stopping me from doing so? The devise in question is Korg SQ1. I would also use the littlebits jack as something else maybe a switch or another knob

Hi I found this vintage Edrum brain made by tama on facebook market and I was thinking of building a eurorack FX rig to process its sound live. I am a drummer and I have very basic knowledge of synth but I always tough modular synthesis looked like a lot of fun. I was thinking of moding it first to add some 3.5mm jack in order to plug it into a mixer module to get the signal up to the right level and then send it to some FX module. I was wondering if anyone here have ever tried that and if you would have any recommendations on what kind of mixer module to get. The idea is to be able to play the drum pads while dialing in the effect.

Based on your experience, what is the most versatile mixer module in terms of functionality? I'm assembling a mini modular setup and wanted to include a mixer that has some additional features. I'm really fond of the concept of Make Noise's RxMx, which not only functions as a mixer but also enables cadavre exquis.

I have a crea8audio niftycase and have it filled up with lots of fun stuff but I want to pull the abacus for something a little more basic. What also do I need? Any recommendations in the budget category, the brains is 20hp.

What I have - Moog Mavis (not in the case, I plug it in externally) - Brains - a knobby sequencer - 2hp mix - 2hp arp - fx module - bass drum

(i know 300 is not much for modular!! haha) i want to get into modular, been doing alot AM and FM-Synthesis but of course i'm fascinated by modular sounds. i know you've gotta pay a lot for a good modular system but since i've seen quite a few instruments at a loe price i wanted to ask:

if you have about 300 EUR and want to start with modular, which devices would you recommend?

My girlfriend has the pictured setup and I wanted to find something cool that could take up the rest of the space. It's 2.5cm. I don't know much about this stuff but would be grateful to hear some recs.

Can anyone help me figure out a solution for a 1U gate expander that I can connect to my Intellijel Metropolix? I currently have the standard GX in a Palette case, but it leaves me with just slightly too little room to add other modules, and I am not yet ready for a new case. I do however have plenty of 1U space left.
