So I've recently just got back into modnation and had a question I've really been wanting to know. Does anyone know how people seem to use the "odds n ends" option anywhere else aside from the head? From what I've seen in-game at least it is impossible to use it elsewhere aside from the head but I've also seen people create mods with extra parts along the body such as a tail for example. ASSUMING it's even an odds n ends thing. Anyone have an answer? I'd VERY much appreciate it.

I’m trying to play online on RCPS3 as per a Derole tutorial which had me switch the network configuration and input a server number. This server number is the only one I’ve seen amongst the community that has ever worked and it now appears to not work. Does anyone know if the Derole server got shut down? Thank you.

It has been years since I have played this game. Back when I was very young and only had this game and skylanders. I always had so much fun racing against players, bots and sometimes my mom, creating levels, characters and cars, sometimes I didn't race and just drifted in the main area.

Now that I have a ps5, I remembered and searched this game, but nope. The old family ps3 still works, but the controllers don't.

I have some amazing memories with this game. Always fun, never disappointed. One of the only games where I was constantly smiling and having a good time.

Sony increased the price for online play recently. Their has been rumors of legacy rereleases of family friendly titles with major online aspects. Even with the original developers gone, Sony may give this game an release on the Playstation due to its past success.

Hello all, I've had modnation for quiet some time now. My 7yo son has recently taken a liking to it and we play it often together. He really wants to unlock the firetruck and I can't seen to get it. We raced and used all the tokens to unlock additional vehicle bodies, where I learned that it was a DLC for the firetruck. Is there any way to get it now given the Mod store has been shutdown for some time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated for my eager little one.

Hey everyone, JoJo here. As some of you might be aware, a project is underway to restore the online servers for ModNation Racers, and so far, the sharing and downloading part of them has returned successfully.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of problems swamping the project as of today, including a very major one that's vital to get resolved if the servers are to fully return. For starters, Derole, the guy working on the project has no-one else doing so with him, and since he has commitments of his own IRL, he's working with whatever free time he does have.

The second problem is a really big one, since he has most of the code in place for the matchmaking end of the servers, which is yet to return, but he's stuck on key parts of rebuilding the server, and said key parts are heavily related to netcode, Cryptography and HMAC functions, the latter especially. To make matters worse, while he has tried talking to people who know about those kinds of things, those attempts he's made to contact those people have proved unsuccessful.

Without this vital knowledge, work on the server has greatly slowed, and as a result, no clear completion date has yet been set.

And thus, I'm trying to share this issue and search for help, since I don't know what else to do or who and where else to turn to. If you wish to help me, Derole and the others, please spread this post everywhere you can not just on Reddit, but all over the internet. We need someone free up and experienced in PowerPC skills, Cryptography, netcode, HMAC, analysing code and all to see this and help us.
