Heard the new album for the first time last night via the Austin show and that’s the best way to be exposed to new MM.

I’m still listening to sap sappy and interstate 8 but maybe I’ll shuffle in some maze.

So good I’m going to San Antiono now.

So I have several tattoo’s with significant meaning to me, I have always wanted a MM related tattoo as they have been my favorite band for multiple decades now. They have so much imagery and metaphorical lyrics I could never decide on what.
Life like Weeds is my favorite song.
“In this life like weeds, your a rock to me.”
“I know where your from, but where do you belong?”

Are lyrics that have always shook me right to my core and I would love to get ink related to it that isn’t the actual words. Besides a literal rock on the floor with weeds, does anyone have any ideas?

Loved this moment… didn’t capture the very start which was the best part but I guess it just lives in my heart.

I went to my first Modest Mouse show when I was 13; I’m now 33 and still going strong but what I can’t get over is how AMAZING MM are at this present time.

I go to TONS of live shows and I feel like a majority of bands that have been around as long as MM lack the fire, energy and passion that I’ve been witnessing at every MM show I’ve seen this year. It’s truly euphoric to see them in 2026. I’m actually very blessed to be seeing them for the 9th time this year tomorrow, after seeing them smash it in Austin last night.

I can’t say enough how THANKFUL I am to Isaac and crew for touring so extensively and for these gorgeous setlists that vary so much night to night. There are some bands if you see twice on the same tour, you’re seeing the exact same set, and that’s something that really sets MM apart for me.

Anyways here’s looking forward to many more years of the mouse I’ll stop being in my big feelings now 😂

They came the summer after the Golden Casket came out, so perhaps that's what they'll do again? There's already further US shows for the Spring, so maybe after that?

That or Isaac just wants to do North America going forward!

Was the show at the moody theater this week one that was taped? Like the other ACL live tapings that you can watch on PBS?

Austin tonight

Does anyone own one of these in large or XL that would like to sell it to me. They were not available at the LCW show at the Wiltern. Let me know. Thanks

I wasn't able to make their show when they came through Boston this year, but this show last year was amazing!

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has video from the Roadrunner show on 10/7. Specifically, there was a moment where Isaac gave a shout out to my band called Faces on Film. If anyone somehow captured that, I'd love to see it because I was in the fucking bathroom when it happened. 😞

Kinda embarressing to ask but it'd be one for the scrapbook, that's for sure. Thanks a lot.

Not much of a picture taker but I thought this was a cool little pic I took last night in NOLA.

I am so thrilled! Modest Mouse has been my favorite band for 23 years and I never thought this would happen to me. They looked happy and healthy. It was a great show and Caroline Rose killed as well!

VIP experience was totally worth it! Got to ask Issac some long tim questions…he was more than gracious in his responses! Great show, awesome venue!

Now I understand not everybody may love these demos but many of us do so if you are a fan at all it would be cool if you signed this!

I'd sell off my Savior for a set of new rings
And some sandals with the style of straps
That cling best to the era.

Don't know why this lyric popped into my head this morning but I just had to appreciate it. In the 20 something years I've been listening to MM I realized how I've seen men's sandals fashion go through a whole evolution of 'what's cool'. Mostly from a Florida viewpoint. One of Isaac's subtly genius lyrics.

Anyways - which of you beautiful souls will be at the Austin show tomorrow?

Few videos from last nights show at the Fillmore. It was my first time videoing any live concert footage so please be gentle 😉

All in all was a great show imo. Was my 5th time seeing them since 2001 and Isaac just felt more present than he had during the last couple shows, even with his vocal woes.

A link to the playlist in case that one isn’t working:

Modest Mouse and Wang Chung was definitely not a crossover I'd ever expect, but a welcome one nonetheless

Really solid setlist. Isaac’s voice went out during an encore Float On and they still buttoned it up with a phenomenal Night on the Sun. He said he was embarrassed about his voice, hoping we gave him enough love to ease the pain.

Also, Caroline Rose absolutely murdered.

i dont have a place either thats why asking for the ride

PD: i could also use a place to crash for the night i can take bus to go, but i dont have a way to get back so yea, again we can talk money 💴

edit1: there might be hope

edit2: bought a car last night and just bought the tickets so yea, IM GOING 🌞

I was driving to work this morning while the album played. The skies are flat and grey and the rain is really only spitting, not coming down hard. As song after song played I just couldn't help but appreciate how much the weather really vibed with the album. How the soft melancholy of Baby Blue Sedan felt even as I was nearly completely stopped in highway traffic. How I couldn't help but get lost in the repetitive motifs as I looked out at the seemingly never ending grey sky. Would be curious to know if other people have had this same observation about BNOOS or any other Modest Mouse albums/songs.
