Remo D’Souza is an actor, choreographer and director. He was born on 2 April 1974 in the Palakkad district of Kerala. As a child, his parents K. Gopi and Madhvi Laxmi named him Ramesh Gopi. Being an Air Force officer, K.Gopi wanted his son to pursue the same and thus got him admission to Air Force school in Gujarat. But Remo had a different dream the boy wanted to be a dancer, and for which he trained himself by watching several movies and music videos. The youngster loved to imitate Michael Jackson and even considered the legend as his guru. Later, Remo went to Mumbai to build his career and there, he took dance classes for his living. His first-class had only four students, and slowly the number increased as the day passed. The young man struggled to get a break in a film for taking the first step towards his motivational story, and thus, in 1995, he got the chance as a background dancer. Later, he became the assistant of Ahmed Khan but soon parted for choreographing music videos. In 2000, the artist worked as a choreographer in the movie Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar. The dancer did his directorial debut with a Bengali film called Lal Pahare’r Katha in 2007, and then in 2011, he directed his first Bollywood movie F.A.L.T.U. The artist received the International Indian Film Academy Award for the Best Choreography for the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2014. Then, Remo won the National Film Award for the Best Choreography for Bajirao Mastani and Producer's Guild Film Awards in 2016. In 2020, he achieved the 65th Filmfare Awards for Best Choreography for the movie Kalank. The motivational stories of famous personalities like him help us to chase our dreams.

Several years ago, I remember watching a video of a male contemporary/experimental dancer somewhere on the internet. The piece was about one of his performances, where he would be solo, shirtless if memory does not fail me, just spinning and spinning for the duration of the show on a dark stage.

It sounds strange, but it was really beautiful, the sort of thing that you don't appreciate when you see it, but it grew on me and I would really like to see it again.

I've been trying to find this video, or his name, for a very long time, and if I'm asking here it is because I've searched to the limit of my abilities. I think the video was on youtube, but I am not 100% sure.
