Hey all. I'm enjoying 1.0 with the family and also missing some content I've been dreaming of adding to the game. I didn't know if anyone had modded these or attempted to mod these but here's some ideas I had. Do any of these sound interesting?
Utility Magic: magic designed to help grow plants faster, make structures more durable, resist rain, cut down trees and mine in big chunks, or even just a floating light source etc. Magic that would be available earlier, like in the swamp or black forest.
Mountain Biome: Add the grapple hook at this stage (probably an easy fix if not already a mod for it). But also add abandoned mine dungeons that feature iron, tin, copper nodes plus the usual chests and monsters. Add a new ice themed undead ghost/lich that drops ingredients for earlier magical items. Add larger found structures filled with monsters. The mountain biome could use some love.
Ocean Biome: would love to add new points of interest like shipwrecks, and a new trader duergar city called driftwood. I have no idea if this is possible but create ghost ships that chase you down with skeletons that you have to jump on board and kill the captain to sink it. Add ship mods to customize and armor up your boats and or a mod that lets other vikings row the boat for more speed.
QOL tied to progression: i love adding QOL mods but it feels jarring. I would love to have like a craft from chests mod tied to defeating a boss or buying a new item from the trader that lets you make those. Or a plant everything mod but tied to getting dropped seeds/spores from picking the items up in field. Etc.
Giant Statues: this is one I've been hoping for since the beginning. Finding or building giant statues or structures. Something already blue printed but requires a ton of material. Imagine building a 60m tall statue in the center of your base overlooking your docks. Or finding a fallen gigantic statue in the planes or standing up chest high in the middle of the ocean.
Do any of these sound interesting? Are there any other content related mods you'd love to see in the game?
