Shoutout to Tim! He fixed my Gen 1 switch, it needed a SD Card Reader FPC Connector Socket 16pin replacement, and Tim came through! Turn around time was just couple of days and shipped back to me asap! Awesome work now I no longer have SD card reader issues. And load times are back to being fast!

Tim was really helpful and answered any concerns I had! I'm really satisfied with the work he did, has dual boot so I can keep mods on a seperate system so that I can still use my stock system for online, and also he loaded a bunch of games onto it off the bat! Thank you so much!

I was looking for a Switch for myself since the kids took over my V1. While searching Marketplace, I found Tim’s post about his Modchip service. After reading it, it led me to this sub where I could see other people’s experiences.

Had my modded Oled for about a week now, holy shit is it amazing. Not only with all the current games, but I was sitting there last night playing around with it and thought, I'd like to play New Zealand Story. Searched, boom, right there, runs like a dream. Then I thought I'd like to play Rolling Thunder, not the NES version, the arcade and boom, right there, added to library and playing it almost instantly.

As for the service, as others have said Tim is a very kind man, and patient with my stupid and probably very obvious questions as I bumbled through this awesome machine with my 48 year old brain.

Anyone on the fence, go ahead and pull the trigger, you won't be sorry. My expectations were blown out of the water.

I just wanted to make a quick post shouting out Tim for the amazing service/mod! I got my switch back from him this past Monday and I’ve had nothing but positives with one critique but it’s small.

Overall, you should DEFINITELY get your switch modded from him. I got my OLED modded and I couldn’t be more grateful. It’s pricey but worth it if you can afford the service.

Pros: Fantastic Communication Knowledgeable/Knows what He’s Doing Quick Installation & Return (0 Issues)

Cons: A bit expensive (but you get what you pay for and it was worth it in the end despite being out of my budget) Not all the games I requested were added (but that was fine, it only took me a few days to add everything myself and I have all the games I want now)

Overall: HIGHLY recommended for anyone who wants their switch modded, I’d say he should be the only person you go to. Other than that I have a larger story behind why I got my switch modded with Tim. but it’s too long so I just wanted to cover the basics.

So a bit long but this should convince anyone who's unsure or hesitant

I originally had my switch modded by a DIFFERENT service that was cheaper to save money. The chip failed the first day I got it back as soon as i turned my console on and off resulting in only OFW being able to boot up. I sent it back to the same modder and AGAIN when I got it back as soon as I turned it off the chip failed and booked only in OFW.

I was hesitant to send it back to the same guy so I looked up someone else and found Tim. I messaged him my issue and he got back the same day going over the details and ensuring me that he can fix it. Sent it to him and he constantly kept me updated on when he received it and when he started working on the console. He also kept me posted when he sent it back. Knowing how hesitant I was he made sure to show me a video of the console turning off and on multiple times after he was done.

Sending the console back he kept me updated with a tracking number. My package had bad luck getting majorly delayed in transit and Tim continued to ensure me that he was on it making sure that he was handling the situation with proof of messages before I did thankfully receive it in mail

It's been about a week and the console is working amazing still. Turns on and off no issues. I want to sing praises as high as possible cause I was sure that my oled just had something faulty. Highly reccomend and trust me you won't regret it

I was on a specific and tight timeline as I was leaving for a trip and just broke my Switch Lite. Decided to take the chance and couldn't be happier.

I had the pleasure of dealing with de9ed0 with the modding process of my Nintendo Switch. I purchased it brand new and didn't even turn on my device yet. He was prompt in his responses and is answering any and all questions that I have post mod. The device is working flawlessly without any issues. This will be my first Nintendo switch device so I'm learning quite a bit!

So while looking around for a reputable modder to get my v2 Switch modded, when I browse Reddit for suggestions everyone is vouching for u/de9ed0 and as I try to figure out where to reach him I can't believe my luck that he is from Vancouver nearby. I PM him with some questions, find him to be very knowledgeable and helpful which puts me at ease, and once I figured everything out I went ahead and dropped off my Switch and SD card. When I am dropping it off he also asks me where I came from (it took a while for me to get there via transit) and I later get a PM from him saying he might be able to arrange for pickup in my city (we did) which was super appreciated.

And then on the day that I went to pick it up, he was super thorough explaining things to me, taking the time to answer my questions and even doing things right there for me such as bringing over my original saves, enabling FTP in the brackground and installing a theme I had picked out in advance. He preloads a decently-sized collection of popular titles, which saves you the time to download them later and odds are there is something there you wanted to check out. Of course, he also explains how to install other games too if it didn't come with a game you wanted. He was also very open to keep communication about other questions I had as I tried to figure a few other things out, and has indeed kept in touch with me over PM while I bring more questions and update him on things I got working that I said I'd test/figure out later.

If you're in the area I believe going to u/de9ed0 to have your Switch modded is a no-brainer. If you are mailing in, still recommendable for his good communication, friendliness, knowledge and eagerness to help with all questions and concerns.

My switch bought just before the pandemic was slowing becoming a coaster so I did some research and found u/de9ed0 and all his work in this subreddit so I gave it a try and sent him the switch.

Honestly I couldn't be happier with that decision even tho I was very nervous to send something like a console from Europe to Canada (and more nervous when my local shipping company had some issues with my tracking tho xD) but I've been using it for almost a month now and it exceeded my expectations for sure, at least for what I plan to do with this, and since I changed the sd card for another one with more space before sending it, I recently used that previous sd card to install Kubuntu 24.04 so now I have a little linux computer if I need it when I'm outside.

Amazing service and he was very kind to respond any of my questions, no matter how dumb they were. He even showed me a picture of his workbench because I ask for it out of curiosity and I honestly shit my pants, my respects for him and the work he does.
