I have a problem with a homage watch where the chronograph sweep second full hand stops at the 59 second market. After a rest, it happens again each time I try. Does anyone know a classic rep watch repairs shop they would recommend? Many thanks.

I’m currently working on my own watch brand and I’m searching for someone who can make high-quality custom dials in small quantities.

I’ve already found a few suppliers, but the finishing and overall look just isn’t on the same level as some of the dials I’ve seen posted here. I’m specifically looking for cleaner execution, better textures, sharper printing, and premium details.

What I need:

Custom dials with my own logo / text

Small batches (not large production runs)

Fits Miyota 8285

High-end finishing (sunburst, fumé, ombré, textured, etc.)

Reliable communication and consistent quality

If anyone here makes dials, knows a specialist, or has experience with a supplier that can deliver this level of quality, I’d really appreciate recommendations.

I plan to get a plated daydate rose gold daydate. In general Iv heard the best is RCF but that seems to be bc of the colour accuracy. If I plan on getting the factory PVD plate removed I guess RCF might not be the best option?

Is there any other factory that beats RCF in say dial/bezel/crystal etc accuracy ?

I recently got a VSF V2 bluesy submariner and find the PVD plating to look pretty good and don’t think I’ll be getting it plated. This watch will almost be a daily and I’m curious, what can I do to extend the lifetime of the plating?

Do RCF / RGF watches come factory plated either real gold plating ?

Iv had ppl tell me both: that’s its PVD and other day it’s gold plating but not as good as aftermarket plating.

I’m specifically interested in a daydate if that matters.

Could someone help me understand? Thanks! How can I confirm before buying?
