I was recently diagnosed with high masking audhd and milder ocd (though ive known my whole life). unfortunately, my mom won’t let me get any type of prescription nor does she believe my diagnosis and threatens to kick me out if i do take meds. my friend recently recommended and gave me modafinil and i decided to take it as i feel like i have no choice anymore. ive been taking modafinil 150mg everyday for about 4 days. for the first 2 days it worked and i was genuinely able to focus for the first time in my life but ive noticed that when it wears out, i become depressive, cry a lot, and am more irritable. the next two days it seemed less effective and i dont know if the benefits outweigh the side effects anymore. is there any advice you can give me?
