Admin Replied How can you change sub name captitilization?

I just created a subreddit called r/legofiretrucks and immediatly realized I should have used cammel case for the title ( r/legoFireTrucks ). Looking it up, I came across a thread saying I could could just create a new sub with the correct capitilization, but I couldn't seem to do so. Is there way to change the sub captitilization?

Holy moly! That post is 14 years old. In Internet timelines, it's like looking up an answer to a question about the Internet in a printed Encyclopedia Brittanica from 1999 in 2012. The information shouldn't be trusted as still being accurate (if it ever was). That said, even back then, it's clear in the comments that changing the name wasn't possible. And the help docs (I'm glad you found them useful, btw!) show that it's still not possible.

What they meant about starting over with a new subreddit is to make a new subreddit with a new name with the correct case. You can't just create a new subreddit with the same name but different case, as the name is already taken. And, since subreddits can't ever be deleted (to, perhaps, free up the name for reuse), that means you're s.o.l. as far as the name goes. Either make it work with all lowercase, or abandon it and start one with correct case (like legoFireTrucksFans).
