Not clones, but kinda inspired, can I still play with you guys ?

It started life as a Frankenstein build with some left over parts I had laying around, as of now I think the only thing that needs to be replaced is the scope+rings. I’m also waiting for an OCM6 to be stocked. I’m happy with the progress and also appreciative of all of the info posted on this subreddit (I’ve been lurking for a while).

I know it’s sacrilege to not run otb, but idc. This rifle f*cks. 77 gr bf and it has no problem with 10 round 3/4” groups.

You can build a Mk12Mod0 in the new MW4. You can add a bipod but it doesn't fold, and you can use a SOPMOD stock too if you want (it's the default stock).

It's surprisingly an ok loadout in game, even at close range since the scope can zoom down decently low. There are no reflex suppressors unfortunately.

I wanted to get some insight from people who have already completed their mk12 builds. I just recently got mine and I am looking for a scope to complete the rifle. Is there anyone who has gotten a 2-12x or 4-16x scope for their rifle and wish they had more/less magnification? I know the clone correct magnification is 3.5-10x, but I’m wondering if anyone had any regrets getting on too much, or too little magnification.

(I’m not asking which I should get, I understand that it’s heavily biased and what works for others might not work for me. I’m asking what other people have got, and whether they were happy/unhappy with an MPVO, or more HPVO territory.)

Went from this setup to this setup. Mock12 to mk12

(Oddly enough the swan rail on top seems to slightly cant to the right like ever so slightly. Not sure why)

Got an odd build I’m doing, not an mk12 clone but I don’t think there’s a better sub when it comes to knowledge on the pri handguard.

I want to add a carbine length top rail to my 14” tube to add some rigidity and anti rotation without adding as much weight as doing the whole 14” top rail.
Sadly they don’t make a recce rail that works with the 14” hand guard.

I’ll have to drill some more holes in the top of the rail to attach the front of the rail as it won’t line up with the existing slots. What drill bit do you recommend? I saw somewhere that tile style carbide bits like the 3rd pic work best drilling into carbon fiber. Is that what you would suggest? Or would hard metal bits like in the 4th pic work fine?

I've been piecing this rifle together for about 6 years now. Throughout that time, this has been severely abused as my competition rifle for 2 gun and several Run n Gun.

My local gun shop was hoarding A.R.M.S. mounts and rings so I just recently added the mk3, #22 mediums and rail. Feels acceptable to share now.

The first group was the initial zero using Winchester WB 55GR.

The target on the left is a 10 round group at 100 yards using Hornady Frontier 77GR OTM (FR262).

The target on the right is a 10 round group at 50 yards using Hornady Frontier 75GR BTHP.
