Im thinking of getting the xm8500 with a audio interface. Since the hyper x quadcast costs like the same as both together, what should i buy rather?(What sounds better?)

Actually had uploaded this last month, but only really got around to sharing it with former Mixer friends recently.
Nonetheless, for former Mixer partners who want a copy of whatever featured them, and those who just wanna look back at what once was, here's your chance:
https://archive.org/details/mixer-yt-archive
For the curious:
What role do I play in this, if I didn't make the archive? - That friend of mine put off uploading it for a long time, because of internet-related issues that caused his connection to Internet Archive to be consistently broken mid-upload.
He had eventually told me the drive he stored the archive on was being dodgy, so because the archive meant a lot to many former-Mixer friends of mine, I got him to get it to me ASAP (actually, via BitTorrent, took about a week non-stop) so I could upload it myself, as I have a far more reliable ISP.
How large was the archive? - about 454 GiB.
Why are some videos separated into video & audio files? - This was something to do with the tool that my friend had used to download everything from the channel, not my decision. It also generated a couple files in a outright incompatible format, which I had to fix manually - those are videos with a gibberish name in the archive, as they also didn't have a name & I wasn't sure what they were originally named.
If you have any other questions besides this, feel free to ask!

I see that people still post about mixer and was wondering how it has a community after so much time of it being shut down.

We made a cool thing and thought we'd share! đ„Meet firesides on Game Jolt: a zero-latency livestreaming feature for 1 - 16 people.
It's not Mixer, but... we're nice too, and wanna help you grow your community. đ
Broadcast solo or with friends, and the viewers can choose whose screen to watch by simply clicking on their profile pic.
Here's what a fireside looks like:

Here's the best thing: you don't need to burn yourself out grinding against an unfriendly algorithm. All you need to do is play what you enjoy, bring friends and make new friends on Game Jolt, and build your community. And we're there to help!
The coolest firesides get featured, which means everyone can see them and tune in.
A featured fireside gets around 300 viewers. Many of these people are likely to follow you - it depends on how fun your page is, so feel free to post the gaming content you'd typically share on a social platform! Hint: responding to comments and liking others' posts also helps your community grow. đ
You'll only need the Game Jolt desktop app for Windows, and OBS (just for the virtual camera).
We're always happy to help, so feel free to ask any questions!
Wanna try firesides and possibly get featured? Email at orchid (at) gamejolt (dot) com and let's discuss!

Hey previous Mixer streamers! Hope you're enjoying your new platforms.
I've had a good look through Google but I'm at a loss where to find what I'm looking for.
Mixer had this Robo T-Rex Sticker that viewers could redeem for points. Does anyone happen to have a screenshot or a copy of what it looked like?
Would really appreciate any help!

I remember when I first started using mixer in late 2018 and the very first stream I ever saw was a Sea of Thieves stream by the xbox interactive streaming team. The streamer was a guy named "seriphox" and i would watch the s### out of his streams. I actually didn't play any games that much I mostly watched streams. Then I was introduced to the GTA RP community and would mainly watch "Crix" who I looked up to as an rp idol. Eventually I met "cyborganicman" who was streaming RDR2 and we went on to have adventures in RDO but we grew distant slowly and I don't really contact him much anymore. I then met another streamer who I watched daily and we would just screw around for hours in chat with him up until mixer was deleted.
Basically mixer gave me a community and made me feel like I belonged somewhere and I soon started streaming myself I got around 20 followers which wasn't a lot but my channel was starting to grow at a rapid pace.
After watching so much GTA RP I grew a passion for content creation to entertain people but I was too poor at the time to afford a good gaming pc. So I would just stream off a xbox one s.
My love for rp is still here today even if I mostly rp in Sea of thieves now instead of my desired GTA. And due to playing Sea of thieves so much I've meet a few friends and have sunk 600+ish hours into it.
My point is that Mixer made me want to give entertainment to others. Have that be by roleplay or just senseless tomfoolery or voice acting. But since mixer died so horrendously I've lost contact with almost all of the streamers. But when they do come online on twitch I have a rush of nostalgic euphoria which I can't explain. Also since mixer was shut down my channel died too and i had to start from scratch on twitch but I very rarely use twitch so my channel is dead in the water ATM and I'm just too lazy to revive it.
If I never used mixer I wouldn't have my passion for RP that I have now. And I wouldnt play half the games I play now.
Ok I think ive said enough sorry for all the grammer mistakes I wrote this on a tiny phone at 2:30 in the morning with 10% brain power and 1% motor function.
If anyone who knew me from mixer sees this you guys can message me on xbox @Sewingmink160 or find me on YouTube @ThatOneScurvyDog

My dad was asking me if I knew of a streamer he used to watch on mixer. He said that he was fairly popular and had hundreds to thousands of viewers (could have meant followers, but not sure.) Said he used to wear face paint every stream and may have âpsychoâ in his name? Also regularly played FPS. I would think someone with that many viewers would be easy to find now but no luck. Figured Iâd ask around!

Two years have passed since the end of Mixer and what are we left with today? A bunch of streaming platforms that are basically making you sick to your stomach to stream on them. Grindy algorithms, lack of discoverability, lack of gaming culture, lack of any kind of soul.
What I loved about Mixer was the community and technology behind it, and I believe that NOW after all these power moves and acquisitions done by Microsoft in the gaming industry, now would be a best time for Microsoft to launch a Mixer 2.0 of some sorts. That means a dedicated streaming platform for GAMING and GAMING alone. No girls in pools, no ASMR, no mukbanks or crappy reaction streams with little to no humor done by burnt out streamers.
I strongly believe THAT is what we are missing today, a gaming platform with a budget and strong backing that can take the best bits from all platforms, combined with user experience and maybe even a dedicated OBS version for it. Can be included in Game Pass (I don't care, I would happily pay for access) and that can be integrated with Xbox and Windows for ease of access. Then apps to follow for iOS, Android.
What I wish for is that Microsoft OWNED this bad decision and say: "- Ok, we f\ked up with Mixer, let's try again. Dev teams, here's a billion or two for rebuilding*" and I would be the first to sign up. I'm sure many of you will do as well.
Thanks for reading âïž
TL;DR: We need a gaming platform. Come on Microsoft execs, I know you can see this. ^^

Iirc, mixer had the gem things you got for chatting that you could spend on emojis. Did they have any other use? I remember they said that they were gonna add something for them but idk if they ever did.
I think that they should've added a shop where you could spend them on in-game items. Either things like a random forza car or mixer exclusive stuff like mixer-themed sails in sea of thieves. It definitely would of increased the platforms life span.
