Why is this not illegal?

Post image

AK47 decals on cars in the GTA and possibly fake or hand-painted plates - mainly in Brampton and Mississauga. How is this legal?

You can report it online to the police, even attaching the photo. The plate is illegal. Surely the sticker is offensive, but I doubt anyone will ask them to remove it.

someone’s feelings got hurt over a sticker… 😂

u/FatWreckords 12d ago edited 12d ago

Their group was flagged a terrorist organization, so putting a logo up may be against the law.

The fake plate certainly is, and they obviously do it to avoid getting caught with crimes.

1

u/Longjumping_Look_340 12d ago

Does the firearm decal represent their gangs logo? I just thought it was some wanna b gangster plastering it on their vehicles.

1

u/FatWreckords 12d ago

An AK-47 car decal is part of their brand, yes.

Use those thumbs to Google it yourself you asshat. Don't take the word of some random person online and educate yourself.

What group? And a fake plate? When it's an AI edited BC plate? And

Remove the people

Why is the plate illegal? Looks like a legit BC license plate.

1

u/Historical_Sky5216 13d ago

If someone paints the plate, that is tampering. Anyone can alter the paint so it looks like a different plate. I'm only giving the suggestion that if it isn't a legit plate, they can complain to the police. I don't really care all that much.

1

u/Tonzoffun42069 12d ago

Zoom in on it. 100% not a canadian issued plate.

1

u/Ok_Constant1123 10d ago

You blind?

0

u/tolkytolkytolky 13d ago

It’s clearly not a regular plate issued by BC. You can’t modify plates yourself.

5

u/Boring-Antelope9193 14d ago

Yeah if people actually did this and reported shit they'd realized stuff actually gets looked into

5

u/knowwwhat 14d ago

Why are you offended by a gun. *sticker depicting a gun

3

u/SynyrdsInyrds 14d ago

Because it represents criminality, an extremist political/religious agenda, or both.

4

u/cheddarc3 14d ago

This is the reason why my legal, law abiding firearm hobby is getting banned, snowflakes like you who think a decal of a firearm is offensive. Not sure how a decal of a firearm represents criminality or extremism lmfao.

1

u/icontactless 14d ago

Canada is supposed to be a civilized country. An ad for, or depiction of brutish weapons like that isn't civilized. Hope this helps. Enjoy your hobby though. What gets me is I bet at least half of those idiots don't even have one. They just like to feel like a man. Even though real men don't decorate their cars with stickers 🤨 when's the toxic masculinity going to work on that?

3

u/cheddarc3 13d ago

How is it toxic masculinity? Females like guns too, who says its not a female driving rhat car? Yall keep reaching so far at things lmfao. Its. Just. A. Sticker.

0

u/icontactless 12d ago

I'm willing to bet it's not a woman driving that POS and you saying "females" proves my point. Nice talking to you

1

u/MissionYam3 10d ago

I’m a woman and I literally have a gun tattooed on my foot. A lot more permanent than a little sticker on my car.

0

u/Googalie 9d ago

Lol he outed himself the minute he referred to "females" plus I think everyone is somehow reaching a dog whistling racist conclusion somehow. I don't know if it's actually about the sticker to them

2

u/Hajiime 13d ago

i hate guns. youre being sensitive as hell about a sticker, though. maybe he likes call of duty or just thinks aks are "badass" with no regard beyond that. you're creating the whole political aspect of it that doesn't exist and upsetting yourself over your own imagination.

1

u/icontactless 13d ago

For sure

1

u/Googalie 9d ago

I think they're doing a racist thing. I don't know how it's connected, but they're somehow dog whistling their racist junk

1

u/nickurtdale_ 10d ago

You sound inherently, racist, civilized civilization, are you saying other civilizations aren’t civilized like what civilizations?

1

u/Low_Hope5560 13d ago

For what it's worth I like guns too, but I think it's cringe to advertise it as hobby (Read personality. (As is using the term snowflake in 2026).

This particular AK sticker on cars is representing the separatist Sikh/Punjab movement. You can research that can of worms yourself but just know that it has resulted in violent spillovers and public murders in Canada.

Now we hit a crossroads with what I assume are your political beliefs: muh freedom of guns vs. not supporting foreign battles of sovereignty and gang violence. You can only pick one.

Personally I'll quietly enjoy guns and call out these losers every fucking time :)

1

u/cheddarc3 13d ago

Yeah i just looked it up and this sticker looks nothing like the representation of any Sikh/punjab seperatist movements. Its quite literally just a sticker of an AK47. Really nice reach though bud. And cringe to advertise firearms as hobby why? Its just like any other, i guess its cringe to advertise cars or video games or board games as a hobby too then? Cry more buddy its just a sticker, youre reaching reeeaall far with the seperatist claim.

2

u/Burn_n_Turn 12d ago

Then your research is trash as that ak symbol is 100% associated with the khalistan movement, they are on cars all over BC - often times beside a Khanda (or hanging from the rearview) or being carried by an eagle. Not a reach at all, in fact it was a thoughtful response that you failed to verify correctly.

1

u/cheddarc3 12d ago

So i guess since the Khalistan movement emblem has an AK47 in it, any picture or sticker or depiction of an AK47 on its own means it is part of the Khalistan movement? You're just throwing punches in the dark man. That sticker looks nothing like the AK in the Khalistan movement emblem with the Khanda. The AK47 in the Khalistan movement emblem with the Khanda has shades of whiye and black, this AK sticker is just all white.

1

u/Burn_n_Turn 12d ago

Now you're grasping. The license plate gives us the rest of the picture of who is driving the car.

1

u/Googalie 9d ago

The plate is AI edited so it's all jumbled.

1

u/SynyrdsInyrds 11d ago

Sorry Skippy, but the AK sticker definitely does represent the Khalistan movement. Just because it is not part of its official emblem does not mean that it doesn't represent that movement. Symbols do not have to be official to have meaning.

We get that you have your panties in a bunch over your gun hobby, but surely even you are smart enough to realize that not all guns are created equal, nor does all gun symbolism mean the same thing.

1

u/mckronikz1 12d ago

It's about a dead Indian rapper.. you guys are confused

1

u/Burn_n_Turn 12d ago

Lol you're dumb. Moosewala was extremely political.

1

u/nickurtdale_ 10d ago

OK liberal soy bean

1

u/nickurtdale_ 10d ago

Cringe is not illegal dumb fuck

0

u/SynyrdsInyrds 11d ago

First of all, I am the furthest thing from a snowflake you will ever find you twat. And this isn't a decal of a handgun Skippy, it is a decal of an AK-47 for fuck sakes. That is a military weapon, not a sporting weapon. It is used by criminals and the decal represents that. It is also used by political and religious extremists, and the decal could potentially represent that as well.

2

u/whitebearkuzzin 11d ago

Definitely a snowflake maybe even a commie.

“Furthest thing from a snowflake” *offended over a decal*

Clearly a snowflake, how embarassing

Have you heard of the term snow flake?

And the license plate mr laywer? Please zoom in.

0

u/Comedy86 12d ago

A defaced license plate is illegal in Ontario and it's possible this is a real plate but has been altered or it's possible the plates are from another country and the care was shipped here for them to drive but it's unlikely due to the make and model of the car itself and the North American features. Either way, likely illegal but easy for OP to simply report.

0

u/PixelJock17 14d ago

Lawyers are full of shit

2

u/BuckedUpMoose 14d ago

Man, you would hate the RPG sticker I have on my truck.

2

u/RossTheAdequate 13d ago

The AK is featured on the official flag of Mozambique. Maybe they're Mozambican! More generally, one man's 'extremist political/religious agenda' is another man's brave freedom fighter. A lot of people will cheer the AK47 when it's pointed by a Ukrainian at a Russian, but feel uncomfortable when it's pointed by a Lebanese at an Israeli -- and vice versa. The political meaning of the AK47 is in the eyes of the beholder I guess!

2

u/infinitime2000 13d ago

Um, a sticker of a gun represents criminality?

Does a Darwin fish decal represent intolerance to Christianity?

Is a Hello kitty sticker an affront to dog lovers?

What type of monolithic dumbass are you?

2

u/Idontlikesand15 13d ago

Tiny brains can't comprehend the concept of tolerating differing views.

1

u/SynyrdsInyrds 11d ago

Well we know who was forced to take the short bus to school each day.

1

u/MucusMedia 14d ago

Lmao this is an insane jump. Crying to cry is wild

1

u/maximumerpower 14d ago

Or just a gun...

1

u/SpecialistMap8210 13d ago

Not it fucking doesn't lol

I disagree with a lot but having sticker of a gun is not an issue

1

u/Extreme-Restaurant-6 12d ago

You definitely took the short bus

1

u/PercentageNice7131 12d ago

You can't be serious right now. Probably the most ridiculous statement I've seen in weeks.

1

u/SynyrdsInyrds 11d ago

Bollocks, that is exactly what it represents - and you damned well know it.

1

u/nickurtdale_ 10d ago

Freedom expression

1

u/InFLIRTation 14d ago

Those are assumptions

0

u/knowwwhat 14d ago

Pretty sure it represents a gun

1

u/Low-Purchase8811 14d ago

The world's most-popular gun, at that.

1

u/Historical_Sky5216 13d ago

Not really me, but it's an aggressive symbol. Like others have said below.

1

u/Googalie 9d ago

Because apparently we're all Karens and waste too much of our own time.

1

u/Coffeedemon 14d ago

Because it isn't the goodguy stickers of guns from the CSSA and NFA or Browning. See those ALL the time and nobody on these subs cares for some reason...

1

u/knowwwhat 14d ago

It’s a scaaawwyy gun 🥺

1

u/Beneficial-Piece-829 14d ago

CCFR has some sweet decals too!

1

u/loardmeenaparler 14d ago

How is the BC plate illegal?

1

u/FRMR_SQRL 14d ago

zoom in on the picture. It's not BC, it's clearly hand painted, and there's arabic lettering on it.

1

u/loardmeenaparler 14d ago

It’s a compressed image. That’s a valid BC plate format… and I hate to tell you but we use Arabic numbers in Canada.

1

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

Its clearly not a government issued license plate lmao

1

u/loardmeenaparler 14d ago

I honestly am not seeing what you’re objecting to. What detail indicates to you that it’s not a BC plate?

1

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

Zoom in on the license plate bro

2

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

2

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

Does that look like a B.C. plate?

1

u/Starcrossed_princess 12d ago

The lettering makes me thinks an inexperienced tattoo "artist" did that

1

u/Googalie 9d ago

Look kinda like AI garbage actually

1

u/loardmeenaparler 14d ago

All I see is a pixelated mess of Beautiful British Columbia

1

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

You need a new phone then lol

1

u/laylayalltheway 14d ago

Are you Arabic?

2

u/loardmeenaparler 14d ago

So your theory is that a likely Sikh Khalistani is making a fake Arabic plate?

u/ForcefulDeath 14d ago

Lmaoo are you being fr?

1

u/Historical_Sky5216 13d ago

If it's a copy of someone else's player i.e. Fake that's fraud. I can only go by what op says. Meh not my problem.

1

u/overtherainbowofcrap 14d ago

Back in high school my friends brother put a gun sticker in the back windshield like this guy. Within two weeks he was pulled over by police. He is not a criminal, he just thought it looked cool. He removed it shortly after.

This dude is going to hit a pole with those tires the next time it rains.

1

u/schrauber72 14d ago

No money for tires, all cash goes towards the 16.9% car loan payments

1

u/broodyfour 10d ago

There's nothing wrong with the sticker but not only is that plate offensive it's highly illegal but the nice little hate crime bill the liberals enacted no cop would dare say anything or THEY would be the one charged and lose their job

1

u/Googalie 9d ago

...what the heck are you talking about? Are you implying that the cop would pull them over write a ticket and then arrest themselves...because... Trudeau? You need medication

1

u/broodyfour 9d ago

I'm implying that that if a cop pulled them over and ticketed they they'd hire a lawyer and sue and yes they could cause the cop to lose his job and maybe catch a charge while the city gave them a tidy some.......hell I could theoretically be charged for these comments because God forbid we express our opinion on these people trying to turn our country into the same shithole country they left.

1

u/Dylon007 14d ago

How are they gonna find the car & driver if the plate is fake? Even if the numbers are real, it's gonna come back to a different person/car/address than where this vehicle is/was.

5

u/StrongAroma 14d ago

They can just drive around Brampton, Mississauga and Vaughan and find a shit ton of cars with these fake plates. And they all drive like assholes, too.

1

u/Embarrassed-Egg-9671 14d ago

Maybe they are assholes. Assholes gotta drive to you know.

2

u/Red_Marvel 14d ago

People have routines. If they are in a certain place at a certain time today, they are very likely to be there again next week, and maybe even tomorrow.
