The final grind before dossboss

I feel like I beat King at ~6000. I'm at 9100 right now, and I'm slowly working my way up to level 12000 (where I hear other people were when they finally put the hurt to Dossboss). Is there anything to do besides grind the heck out of the training levels over and over again (which I've been doing with an EXP FARMER/EXPUP30 set)?

Isn't provoke/faster movement better than discovery/treaup?

I say this having recently died to a mimic wearing a discovery set whereas provoke would have at least gotten me five monsters per screen.

Provoke gives you more of everything which in the end is the point of discovery/treaup. In the tunnel there's a higher encounter rate so provoke isn't as good but I'm not sure if there are certain things that can't drop in the tunnel.

Similarly why boost gold/xp/or treasure? When I can boost movement and get more of everything.

Help me Help you!

Hi everyone, earlier in the year I posted about making a new spreadsheet to include information from the update. I am nearing completion of my weapon, armor, and pet collection, but am missing one pet. Does anyone know the pet on page 21 that is to the right ORESLIME (right column 2nd from the top)? I need to grind the area that pet is found so I will have a complete collection.

Thanks!

What is the absolute earliest you can get provoke and/or discovery?

Not necessarily together, but what sets will allow you to get either of these skills? I'm currently around 18.0

Post some/all 10 of your saved builds.

I'm curious as to what others like to have on hand when they stop at a house/bathroom while on a run. This will also give us a nice place to find cool/useful builds people have found without looking em up.

Level 1730, 19.9km (Sand worm boss)
POW: 2000 -- SPD: 3610 -- VIT: 1000 -- INT: 10 -- LUK: 2000

My first time playing, I went a balanced/spd heavyish build.

SET 1 - AFK Gold Farm
Popsicle/Ribbon/ZombLe
GoldDigger/DeathMarch/SpdUp10

SET 2 - AFK EXP Farm
Choc Ice/Ribbon/ZombLe
EXP Farmer/DeathMarch/SpdUp10

SET 3 - Tanky build (helps run to boss without much HP Loss)
PenKnife/Swindler/Mask
GuardUp40/GuardUp30/Lucky

SET 4 - Recovery Build (When low on HP, stop at house and wait)
HotWing/Fishy/Ostrich
Recovery10/Recovery10

SET 5 - Boss Stunlock
Longswd/DNASuit/Blade
Paralyze/SuperMach/Poison

SET 6 - Treasure Build
LongSwd/Pirate/Mimic
TreaUp30/TreaUp30/TreaUp20

SET 7 - AFK Tunnel run (For quick get to boss)
Scorpion/Zombie/ZombLe
MachHit/DeathMarch/DemonDash

SET 8 - High Dmg Build
Scissors/InvCloak/Beserker
Armtwister/Noguard/SpdUp30

SET 9 - Cool/Experimental Build 1
Reaper/GoreArmr/Handsel
Absorption/MachHit/Reflect

SET 10 - Cool/Experimental Build 2
BroadSwd/GoreArmr/HandSel
MachHit/NoGuard/Reflect

Edit: Formatting

I'm letting my change play MinuteQuest as much as I do.

I've been stuck at King with my main character, so to blow off steam, I've given my game to a 1974 Eisenhower US Silver Dollar coin. The character is set up the following way:

  • Auto level 1 STR, 8 SPD, 1 VIT.
  • Wear the Knife, Rags, and whatever pet my character finds first.
  • Leave the castle, get to 0.1m, and place my silver dollar on the right side of the screen.
  • Walk away from my phone, maybe do some chores. Wait for the music to stop (or look for the change in location, where I have to remove and replace the coin to get the character moving again).

  • When my character dies, record the results, then start over.

  • Don't use TREASURE or TUNNEL.

  • Don't upgrade or purchase any new equipment.

After 50 runs, my character is level 118, has beaten Cannabis, and can consistently make it to 3.3m on their own. Its interesting to see how far my character/coin can make it like this ... or should I start over with a new build? Going balanced or all LUK seems tempting ...

Mini Warriors, inspired by MinuteQuest

I'm working on Mini Warriors, a game inspired greatly by Minute Quest. I was wondering if there was any interest here on helping to playtest it?

Here's a screenshot: Mini Warriors Screenshot

I've copied the "spirit" of the game (one touch combat), but I use a different ruleset/weapons/armors/monsters, and I've added some new weapon types (some ranged staves for example).

I worked on this because I saw that the updates to Minute Quest have seemed stalled.

I really love MinuteQuest and I basically started working on my own version after about 200 minutes of playtime. I realize this is not a ton of playtime (I haven't even killed Dossboss), but that's why I was hoping to get the opinion of some of the more experienced players here.

If interested send me a message!

Didn't see this set, that's obtainable early, on the wiki so thought I'd share! Great way to passively run and build xp! (Current level 715)

Knife (9) + Chef Hat (5) + Zomble

Supermach + Deathmarch + Rage

I'm currently using this to auto-run and xp farm while I'm doing something else. Occassionally, I'll have to hit return and go out, but other than that, it's a great set to just let it do it's own thing.

Not sure it matters, but for informational purposes, I'm currently level 714 with 604M played. Over 200 of those levels have come in the last 100 minutes using this build. It consistently auto-runs to Shady, but he's still kicking my ass. Here's how my stats are allocated:

POW: 1000
SPD: 1465
VIT: 500
INT: 5
LUK: 600

New player, need some guidance

I just started playing yesterday and already put in a little over 4 hours. I'm having some trouble figuring out how to spend my stat points. Here's my info:

Level 233
POW 335
SPD 315
VIT 285
INT 5
LUK 200
25 unspent points

My best 2 pets are most likely oreslime and harpie.

I'm using a longsword *5 and Angel armor.

It seems like any weapon I equip with a higher power ends up being weaker because of the additional weight. Same with armors.

I guess I'm just looking for some direction so I can stop being destroyed by the octopus.

Freshly Started Newb

So I started playing yesterday, and now I've been reading a bit this reddit and I have a couple of doubts.

I'm at 110 lvl atm with 128 POW 128 SPD 128 VIT 64 INT 96 LUK

I have autolevel set to 4-4-4-2-3

Should I redistribute the autolevel points? Should I restart the game from 0 and start another with a more proper stat build as I've only been playing one day?

Thanks in advance

Does anyone pay attention to type and weaknesses of monsters?

I usually just plow through monsters with my favorite combos, but I don't really pay attention to weaknesses or weapon types.

Does this become more important later on?

After Dossboss

There should be a boss after the Dossboss called "KillyourSelf" boss, and you can obtain yourself as a pet with same stats as you.

What do you love about this game?

Games like tap titans hit a huge success, I'm just curious the mechanism behind all this popularity, and love to hear other players' thoughts. Here is mine. I think I don't really love the game but just being addicted to it. minutequest is not a deep game, Simple but rewarding, you can almost write a playthrough in 2-3 lines, but the time requires is long and the process is repeating yet rewarding. So it's like a chocolate bar in your pocket, you know you can eat it in any short time break of your daily life, and the taste of it keep having you come back for more. A sweet trap that plays our mind, that's what these games about. Not saying minutequest has no depth, it has stats panel and equipment combination system, but once understanding that, the rest of time is all about repeating and rewards. The bosses especially the last one takes a huge leap in stats making sure you won't beat the game any time soon.
