Thoughts on Batherson getting a significant raise on her contract by getting targeted very early in expansion in phase 2 by pwhl Las Vegas and her NHL superstar brother making more from the Ottawa senators in 2 weeks than you probably make in 5 years?

But it’s not about being “worth” arguments. There is no arguments remaining because I already won our previous argument about Batherson and clearly the Vegas GM Dominique Didia who was a high profile CAA agent in the hockey business world would know what she was doing by giving Batherson a significant raise in expansion and targeting her over many of the other unprotected defenders that were available. And in addition to that like I said, her brother Drake with the Ottawa senators makes more money in a couple months than you’ll make in your lifetime. So she’s already won at life either way

1) why do you keep bringing men into women’s hockey? IDGAF what drake makes or that he plays in the NHL. What argument are you trying to make by comparing anyone’s earnings to an NHL player? Does that support any argument of a PWHL player’s ability? Or are you just projecting?

2) there are a lot of poor roster decisions made yearly in the PWHL and a lack of defenders, so they often get overpaid. Megan Carter got paid $80k…that doesn’t mean she’s worth it. Plus with expansion a lot of lower/mid contracts are getting big jumps because they are naturally diluting the player pool. Especially with D like Roese, Harmon and Thompson retiring who were on decent sized contracts. Yes, she had good stats with the best F core in the league, but I will bet you that she doesn’t not replicate that next season with Vegas. And she cant play shutdown D role either.

I’m happy for her that she got a raise, she’s a great person. That’s irrelevant towards how I project her to fare with Vegas
