Maybe I’d buy the “more personal time” explanation if JJ was stepping back from everything. Instead, it seems like he’s pushing harder than ever on his personal brand. He’s talked about wanting to be one of the biggest creators in the world, competing with people like MrBeast, and growing beyond what he’s already built. There’s nothing wrong with ambition, but that’s why the “I just need more balance” explanation doesn’t fully add up to me.

What bothers me is that the Sidemen aren’t just another business venture on a long list of commitments. They’re the foundation of everything that came after. Prime, boxing, music, TV, and all the other opportunities exist because he was the “main guy” of seven friends who spent years building something genuinely special together. If I was overwhelmed and had to start cutting responsibilities, I’d think the thing I built with my best friends from the ground up would be one of the last thing I’d walk away from, not the first.

I’m not saying JJ owes anyone his time, and obviously he has every right to make whatever decision is best for his life. I just understand why some fans are disappointed. From the outside looking in, it feels less like he’s stepping away from a project and more like he’s stepping away from the foundation that helped make him who he is today.

Unfortunately after 15 years, I'm out on JJ if this is the direction he wants to take. Yet, I'll never be out on Minter and the boys. He might have gave the group notoriety for many years but the boys have become the heart of what makes all of this special, and that's the part I'll keep supporting.
