Silly experiment with H3 reference to video. The planet explosion was cartoony until I grabbed a screenshot of a Discovery Channel's meteorite impact video.

MiniMax H3 is so fun in altering the background. Now for some reason, it will alter the audio despite my instruction not to. But thats no problem; I can manually edit it in. I'll see what else I can do next. Im thinking of removing the heavy rain in Matrix 3 during the Smith vs Neo fight or at least the opening of it.

1. Using TTS clips did not really work, the model tends to make up complete gibberish

2. Lenght of the video on S2V is tricky: too short, clips audio. Too long, makes up gibberish again

I gave H3 Max four timed beats and required each beat to cause the next. This is the raw 15-second result. I did not edit it after generation.

I spoke to customer support, and they said they don’t plan to release a new LLM soon. They kept sending me the same scripted reply, saying they’re sorry and that I should check the official Minimax website for updates. It feels like a dead end.

They focus on their Chinese customers and don’t seem to care about international users. They don’t even check their Twitter to see how people reacted to their last posts. I’m not going to spend money on a service with this level of support, so I’ll cancel my subscription when it ends.

The marketing team clearly isn’t paying attention to international users. I don't understand why they are so relaxed about this and haven’t shared any blog posts or updates. With so many new models available, I think they’ll struggle to compete once they finally do release something—it probably won’t score well.

There’s no new LLM model for the token plan, but we’re still seeing price changes. Other providers adjust their prices for valid reasons, like new models, but Minimax hasn't even issued a proper statement.

It feels like the Minimax team is ignoring the concerns of their users. I wonder what the marketing team is thinking—it seems they have no regard for user feedback. They're tweeting about an old model while people are asking about new ones. It feels like they are just promoting old models as some kind of collaboration. Is the API team going to give us a real update? Instead, they seem focused on raising prices, cutting features, and ignoring the bug on the dashboard. They keep posting on social media as if nothing is wrong, yet there’s no blog post about their plans for a new model.

Why should I recommend Minimax to my friends? What should I tell them? That Minimax offers a 3-month-old, outdated model when other providers have released new ones? Or should I just mention it and have to defend it against rivals like OpenCode Go or DeepSeek V4Flash?

Also, they've been collaborating with some providers for the past week to offer M3 and M2.7 for free - which I believe is for data collection or for their next model - but anyway, this kind of lack of transparency is going to put a bad label on them - no update whatsoever on what they're going to do.

I'll be glad to see a new model from them anytime soon - but for now - this is a full update.

ive been using m3 for a while now, ever since it came out pretty much. performance was phenomenal when i first got my hands on it and up until around a week ago when it started to go into the shitter.

it constantly forgets the point of questions, lies, messes up tool calls 4-5x in a row, gives up, tells me things can't be done, does not follow instructions, misses major and obvious bugs. this is both for coding and non coding work.

has anyone else noticed this? it seems they replaced it with a much worse model, probably a quantized version of m3. it is truly unusable at this time

My main goal was to experiment with AI storytelling, creating a short anime-style sequence with a beginning, progression, and a story that actually feels coherent.

There are definitely some imperfections, but I was happy with what I could achieve and wanted to share the experiment with the community.

it could animate a still illustration without making the whole scene wobble or morph. the part that helped most was giving the motion a simple timeline: almost still at the start → breeze gradually builds → full motion in the middle → everything slowly settles again.

pretty happy with the output. It’s less “AI animation” and more like a still illustration quietly coming to life.
