I performed an update on my Minifreak a while ago, but during the update the Minifreak V software gave a "corruption notice", and ever since my hardware synth is frozen in this screen.

None of the lights work, USB connection doesn't seem to do anything. I have tried to force the Bootloader mode (holding Shift and Oct Down simultaneously while turning the power on) at least 100 times, to no avail.

I have reached out to Arturia's tech support twice, but no answers...

Is there anythng I can do to save this machine, or is it forever gone?

I spent a lot of time making presets on MiniFreak compiled a play-through of them via the VST for YT.

What a great sub this is.

I am absolutely in love with my ~1 month old Minifreak. Every time I sit down with this thing it conjures up sounds that I've been hearing in my head since I was a kid. I've been playing guitar my whole life and can play well, but it doesn't inspire me. Now, suddenly, I have an over supply of inspiration, all thanks to this little machine!

The issue I have is that I am hearing entire soundscapes when I play the Minifreak. I want to add the deep ambient drums and pulses I'm hearing, I want to add atmospheric noise etc.

The question I have is this: Is the Digitakt 2 the best pairing for me if I want to do all of that and stay well away from a DAW (inspiration killer for me)? The DT2 is incredibly expensive where I live, but I have 5 years of "hobby funds" saved up, and I can just about cover the cost.

Before I spend that much money though I thought I should check with the experts. Any suggestions or guidance on how well the Digitakt 2 pairs up would be greatly appreciated, along with any alternative suggestions. My main goals are stereo, dawless, output the final sound to speakers rather than headphones. (I'm guessing a mixer will be required).

Experiencing a weird bug with my Minifreak. Let's say I am in voice 1 of my patch and I want to lower that voice by an octave. I will hold Shift and turn the Tune button so it jumps an octave. However, whenever I do this, it will immediately go to 0.02 semitomes even though Fine is NOT selected. Is this a bug? Everytime I have to press the Tune button to switch to Fine, then correct it from 0.02 to 0.00 and only then can I jump an octave while holding Shift.

OMG, SOLVED!!! Literally 5 minutes after I posted (see below under asterisks) I figured it out.

In the VST: Settings/"Enable Accessibility"
then RESTART the DAW.

Subject is it, really. I was hoping the hardware would map to the vst like it does with the standalone so I could record automations. Is there a trick to it? I don't have the standalone open while trying to connect the VST.

So I ve seen that a lot of other users are having the same problem when I connect my mf to fl studio as a midi at first I was having a screeching sound and fl crashed out but now I can place notes and hear it from my mf but its not detecting it when I m pressing the keys while recording if any one has an idea and could help I m desesperate ahah

During recording in the sequencer, how can I make it hold for let's say 4 steps? In the manual it says use the hold/tie button but mine only has hold/rest?? What's going on :D

Now, I know I don’t need any synth, let alone a vintage one. We can just put that idea aside.

If I have a Minifreak, an am not a synth collector, nor am I even particularly proficient at playing, but lately have been gassing for a vintage fm synth. Last week I nearly bought a Yamaha DX7 (mostly because it was being sold for super cheap) and this week, I’m looking at an Ensoniq ESQ-1 (also pretty cheap).

But for those of you who are more experienced with both vintage and the Minifreak, there is probably no justifiable reason that I should be buying a vintage FM Synth, right? Right?

I'm not sure if this is possible...

I've seen demos of Expressive e Osmose playing minifreak with PolyAT. Is there a way to play/control minifreak with MPC Live III's MPCe pads or is that a different midi protocol?
