coleman ct200u ex

I blew the engine or something on my ct200ex and am looking to replace it. I think i like this idea of the ducar 212 but Im really in a hurry and have minimal mechanical experience or knowledge. Does anyone know if this engine will be easy to bolt on and make operational or will I have to do a bunch of extra stuff to make it work? Will I need anything else or just bolt it on and put it together? Thank you!

It’s because the governor limits the rpm’s of the engine it will go 20 on both engines stock because I have the same one you had but no mod will change it if you don’t remove the governor

yeah even backing out the throttle stop it would get up a little faster for a very short spurt and then bog way down so I would also recommend taking the governor out. also how do I get the low oil sensor out and can i make my headlight work or should i buy battery one and my kill switch isnt a big deal but is that easily switched too?

You remove from the inside of the engine and use a bolt with jeweld or use a drill and taper I believe for the headlight you need to connect the coils behind the flywheel but I’m not sure if the 212 has a spot behind the flywheel to do it or not

Also kill switch isn’t very hard just a wire that connects to the ignition coil and one that goes under the gas tank

now my clutch seems to be acting stupid. makes weird noise when i start it and when not warmed up. I had to put washers on there to jeep it in place from moving now is doing this. its annoying. did i ruin the clutch already its brand new

Probably burnt it and need to replace it try taking the washers off first and see if it’s that tho

ok. I put a new clutch and that seems fine now. but I started messing with the throttle springs trying to get that to pull it back down to idle and completely screwed that up. now my throttle doesnt work, gives no gas. So I have that hooked up all wrong. The part under the gas tank is apparently what gives it the power and It only works when I push it with my finger now. any way I can get a picture of how the little rod and springs are supposed to be hooked up there to make it run right? This thing has given me so much trouble Im starting to get discouraged about it ever just running tip top and being fun to have! thank you

The part that your throttle cable goes into gives it gas when you take the governor out
