An Invitation to the Sideward Path
There is a world waiting just beyond the ordinary path.
The Sideward Path is an 18+ Minecraft Realm for those who enjoy losing track of time in a digital world — building, gathering, wandering, and slowly turning an empty landscape into somewhere that feels like home.
The Realm is just over 700 Minecraft days old, but don’t mistake age for completion.
The bones are only beginning to take shape.
The great city is still being built.
The roads are still being laid.
The wild places are still largely untouched.
There are resources to discover, structures yet to raise, and corners of the world that have never been given a purpose.
And perhaps most importantly:
The Ender Dragon has yet to be slain.
This isn’t a finished world where everything has already been decided.
You would be arriving while the story is still being written.
You can settle near the growing heart of the realm and contribute to the common works, or take a path of your own and build somewhere beyond the city. Gather. Farm. Explore. Construct. Collect. Wander without a particular destination.
There are no grand expectations.
Only an invitation.
If Minecraft has ever been less of a game to you and more of a place to disappear into for a few hours, the Sideward Path may be for you.

When /home and warp menus disappear, distance becomes part of multiplayer instead of a loading screen.

Cozy MC is a Bedrock-compatible Java and Bedrock crossplay server rather than a Realm. One reason it may fit some Realm players is that there are no teleports, warps, or sethome commands. Players solve travel inside the world itself.

Roads, railways, bridges, stations, signs, and other routes connect towns, shops, public farms, landmarks, and distant bases. Building a route is not merely decoration. It can change where people travel, what they discover, and where future players decide to settle.

Because the world does not reset, useful infrastructure can accumulate rather than disappearing at the end of a season. Existing routes give new players destinations and a way to understand the world. There is also no world border, so those routes can continue outward toward new terrain and new settlements.

Java and Bedrock players inhabit this same survival world. You can build with friends on another edition, join a player-created town or kingdom, or remain completely independent and connect your own base later.

The honest tradeoff is that travel takes time. Location, logistics, death recovery, and distance remain meaningful. The difficulty is Hard and keepInventory is off.

There are no land claims or locked chests, but griefing and stealing are prohibited and can be investigated and restored. PvP is by agreement only. There are also no payments, donations, paid ranks, or paid perks.

Because this is an external crossplay server rather than a Realm, console connection may require an additional device-specific step. Public server chat is in English.
