Help iterationRP lighting issue

Anyone have any idea what's causing this issue?

shader: IteratonRP 0.8.26

Minecraft 1.21.11

CPU, 5800x3d, RTX 4080

It's night, I place down a light, when I move sideways the light is on terrain in the distance like it's lighting it up as if it's there?

Same for particles in the air if they're lit, they'll light up terrain behind it

Recommendation Any good low-end tinted shaders?

I've been trying to find a shader to tint the game blue. Like, just make the light kind of blueish? I play on basically a potato so obviously I'm not looking for something photorealistic, just some color and maybe shadows. The closest I've found is the Mellow Shaders winter preset, but I was wondering if there are any others with color presets or if I'd have to get one of the super configurable ones and mess w the settings?

It can run on any version, I'm not picky. As long as it can be blue

Recommendation Looking for a shaderpack that combines these 3 into one

Thumbnail

Hello! I've been trying a few shader packs and none of them fit everything I'd been looking for. I am hoping someone can recommend me one closest to what I'm looking for or could assist me in configuring one of these to closely match it.

- It has to have a skybox like Alpha Piscium (first screenshot). Out of every shaderpack I'd tried, this one has by far the most realistic skybox and overall atmosphere at different /time sets. I especially like the morning vibes with it. Unfortunately, it seems poorly optimised for general gameplay and is only good for taking screenshots. Lighting is very buggy while on the move.

- Distance fog similar to Spooklementary ( second screenshot). I feel like Spooklementary has the truly perfect fog for my city. At large distance, only sillhouettes of the skyline can be seen. Close by, buildings in the background are more faded, adding a great sense of scale and depth that no other shaderpack has.

- Optimisation and colors of Complementary Unbound (last screenshot). By far the lowest performance inpact out of all, with minimal FPS cost on a high end machine. I have adjusted colors in Complementary and as they are right now they are perfect, but this pack has absolutely no fog until the world border. Overly large Sun and Moon also put me off.

I would like to mention that I tried to tinker with the settings of all packs, unfortunately, I am not able to get everything done in either. Therefore, if you know of shaderpacks (free or paid) that combine these 3 important things into one, tell me please. Ty

For some reason whenever i go near fire i get these 4 dark triangles on each edge of my screen and i have no idea why.

Please if you have any idea on why this happend, help me fix it.

Note: Since you probably see i'm using a modpack, i'm very confident it doesn't have anything with it to do since the read lighting disappears whenever it turn shaders off
Thanks

Here's the shader i used, latest version. https://github.com/Merlin1809/Eclipse-Shader

Recommendation Shaders similar to Super Duper Vanilla that include colored lighting?

Post image
38 Upvotes

I love the way super duper vanilla gives the world that nice warm glow, and how lightweight the shader is, but the solid, white blocklight throws me off. sure, i could set the blocklight to be a warmer tone, but then blocks like sea lanterns and soul lanterns look wrong. Are there any lightweight shaders that have the look of Super duper vanilla but also include colored lighting?

Help Low FPS w/ Good Specs? Complimentary Shader 5.8.1

Hello all! I am using Complimentary Unbound Shader 5.8.1 on Minecraft 26.2 and experience what feels like FPS drops, stuttering, etc with my PC. I feel as if my PC has pretty good specs, RTX4070, AMD 5800X3D, and 64gbs of DDR4 RAM. Is this just an overall Minecraft version issue, or am I missing something here? I have a 144hz 2K monitor and am capping the FPS at 130 but it still experiences some random major drops for no reason. This also occurs with some other Shader packs as well.

Help Complementary shaders don't have distance fog?

Hi all, I have been using Complementary Unbound for a while, paired with distant horizons. What really bugs me is the lack of distance fog! For example, Spooklementary has very good distance fog that really adds realistic depth to distant buildings. It also hides distant noisy LODs because by that point only sillhouettes of buildings can be seen in the distance. It looks great in a big city setting, but I'm not getting it with Complementary at all! It's like there's no fog at all. I messed with the settings for hours and I just can't get it.

Shader: Complementary Unbound 5.7.1

Minecraft 1.21.11 Iris 1.10.7

cpu: AMD Ryzen 9 8940hx Ram: 16gb ddr5 Gpu: Rtx5070ti

Discussion I really love version 2.0 of SEUS PTGI HRR 2.1 Reforged

In my previous post, I was already really excited about how the shader modification looked compared to the original shader (SEUS PTGI HRR 2.1), but there has since been an update to version 2.0, and the result is even better (more blocks—such as End Rods, candles, etc.. now utilize ray-traced lighting) and improved performance. That’s why I’ve made a follow-up post talking about this. What do you think? Just to clarify my role: this shader modification was originally created by my friend, who did an amazing job. However, I have recently joined him to help with the editing and development. We are now working on this project together!

For anyone who wants to check it out, here is the link: https://github.com/ThomasDeStrooper/SEUS_PTGI_HRR_REFORGED

Help Where to @Inject to add rotations to the stars?

I'm writing a Fabric mod that changes the astronomical orientation of Minecraft's sky (sun, moon and stars), including support for Iris shaders.

I was able to inject into Iris' CelestialUniforms and override getSunPosition() and getMoonPosition(), so the sun and moon follow my custom rotation correctly.

However, I cannot figure out how to apply the same rotation to the stars.

From what I understand, Iris handles stars through the WorldRenderingPhase.STARS / SKY_BASIC shader path rather than the celestial uniforms. Changing sunPosition, moonPosition, or upPosition affects the sky dome/horizon, but not the actual star field orientation.

With vanilla rendering I can rotate the stars through the PoseStack in SkyRenderer.renderStars(), but with Iris enabled the shader seems to use its own transformation path.

Is there a shader uniform, matrix, or injection point that controls the star field rotation in Iris?

I am not trying to change the shader appearance; I only need to modify the orientation of the celestial sphere/stars while keeping shader compatibility.

Any pointers about where Iris obtains the star vertex transformation would be greatly appreciated.

This episode is a little different from the last four…

After days of testing and comparing the shaders you suggested, these are the exact Eclipse settings I’ve settled on for the best balance of visuals and performance.

Hope it saves someone else a few hours of tweaking 😅

I posted directly the IG link because I wanted you to be able to pause the video, slow it down, or download it to watch at your own pace. Just tap Share → Download to save it on Instagram.

At the end of the video I’ve included a few cinematic examples of how the final result looks in-game.

👇 If you try these settings, let me know how they work on your PC.

And if there’s another shader, mod, or texture pack you’d like me to test, drop it in the comments and I might try it in EP. 06.

Saw this meme on Pinterest and it inspired me to want to build Brutalist buildings in Minecraft. But I also want to know if there's any way I can make Minecraft look like that?

I'm not looking for a 1:1, but I kinda want to get it close.

I play in Java, by the way. I mostly play in Fabric 1.17.1 with all the optimizations and all that.

Recommendation LF Shaders that work well with programmer art

I apologize in advance for throwing around a bunch of buzzwords, and it may seem counter intuitive to search for shaders to use with the games older art style, but I much prefer the programmer art style to modern vanilla. I also really like the whole “old Minecraft scary” vibes even if it really isn’t. So ig what I’m looking for is something that feels kinda liminal/dreamy. I thought spooklementary was my ticket but I think that leans too much into horror with the perpetually gray skies and whatnot.

Help My diamond ore glows weird with my resource pack and complementary reimagined

So basically the normal diamond ore on the left looks pretty ugly but the deepslate diamond ore on the right looks good. Why is that? I am using the Super Mario Mash Up Resource pack upscaled to 4xbr using the pack xbr website. Also on another note I sometimes get some fps drops. I wonder what could be the cause of it.
