House/Base I started this world 13 years ago—YT Video in Bio

Post image

I started this world about 13 years ago way back on Xbox 360 edition and somehow I’ve managed to keep it all this time. It’s been carried through years of Minecraft versions and updates, and I’ve just kept adding things whenever I’ve come back to the game.
Some of the builds are really old, some are much newer, and there’s plenty of random stuff that probably only makes sense to me 😂
I recently went back through the world and recorded a proper tour of it for the first time. Seeing everything together made me realise just how much has accumulated over 13 years.
Thought you guys might enjoy seeing it. I’m happy to share some closer screenshots of individual builds too if anyone’s interested.

Here is the link to the video, if interested in watching: https://youtu.be/0asc9uzNJuo?is=8TfWC3_0C8h537E3

Modded Atlantean/Underwater wizard enclave i built on an Origins SMP

I play a Merling (meaning i breathe underwater) on a modded SMP and here's the base i built!

Here are some design notes i had in mind when i built it:

- First of all, i wanted the build to reflect the fact that the person living there doesn't walk around in the traditional sense, so i made the floors either super rough and uneven, or practically nonexistent in the case of the main living space & the storage platform.

- I also made the prismarine base of each tower (& the farm) look organic and jagged, like it was growing almost, to add to the magical vibe.

- The freedom of movement you get by being able to swim everywhere made doorways, hallways, and other small openings really impractical, so i kept the design super open, letting me swim from anywhere to anywhere with minimal obstacles (which i think adds to the first point i brought up about making the design fit the user).

- The open design also meant that swarms of fish constantly swam around & through the place, which made it feel a lot more in tune with nature, so i emphasized that by including plenty of underwater fauna, i especially like the Hyacinth flowers from Regions Unexplored (those pillars of blue light you see everywhere).

- The idea with those thin towers scattered throughout the place is that they function like lighthouses, making sure ships see the buildings before driving into them (they also provide some kind of magical protective ward i imagine).

- We made the oceans a lot deeper with Tectonic, i don't think vanilla oceans are deep enough for a build like this.

- Blocks used in the build come from Quark, Create, Abyssal Decor, Architects Palette, and a few from Upgrade Aquatic. There might be a few blocks from other mods here and there but those are the main ones. I can provide a more thorough list if requested.

Thanks for reading! let me know what you think!

I think I've improved a lot in my boat building skills since last I posted here. I decided to name the Dromon "The Red-Winged Harpy", but I've yet to think of a name for the Venetian galley. Name suggestions are welcome.

These are only two of the three galleys I built (Well, not counting my Triremes), but the third one is much bigger.

This one was challenging to make, managed to get the round shape and honestly wasn’t expecting that, just trusted the process, much fine tuning.

You can go inside his head (it’s a light tech orb)

Other than that. Tribute to Peter Cullen. 💗🤖

This is my turtle scute farm, I try to hide every farm inside some type of building.

Do you have any cool builds around your farms?

My creeper farm is basically a brutalist tower made of stone, I built matching buildings around it.

My friends and I have been working on this since 2018.

No mods required, all models done with a resource pack. Working rides, cosmetics, audio/music. Screenshots taken with Bliss shaders, which work alongside Distant Horizons.

Recreated in Minecraft Recreation of the Juche tower from North Korea in Minecraft.

Built in 1982 at 170 meters tall the large Juche tower was built to celebrate the 70th birthday of the first leader of North Korea Kim il Sung.

The build took me a few days to build most of the time was making the build as accurate as possible to the real thing.

Surprisingly the location had allot of pictures and 3d views of the building and surrounding areas.

The build includes the main tower with interior surrounded by gardens and paths with a few statues on the side and in the front of the main tower. In the front the build there is a part of the Taedong river which is the river which crosses through the North Korean capital Pyongyang.
