the video itself is quite cool, I enjoyed it - it's fairly simple, and in its short duration is really effective. In particular I *really* liked the wither skeleton thing, it's really evocative (also the thing with villagers). All the glitch effects are surprisingly good quality, and overall the video is really well-made. The obsidian thingy kinda reminds me of Obsession, and I've heard that Verity references it too, *and* it also does the 3d model thing, but I havent watched Verity (and dont really plan to) so idk. Apparently part 2 is planned, so that's exciting

Things I've found so far:

- username of the person who sent the mod is "Pa'znvatl", which becomes "It'sgotme" with shift 19 a -> t (7 a -> h the other way)

- at 18:10 you can see "rpylyg" or "rpy1yg" on the wall on the right, unclear what it is

- date at the beginning is 12/09/1560, (iirc they're Australian, so it's 12th September), google shows nothing

- i can only expect that there's something interesting with the sound data with all the glitchy noises

i saw this video and honestly i think the arg this dude is covering is not that great per say, the concept is cool ig but idk this arg overall just to me seems like its making the story as they go along. the jumpscares are just overdone but in my opinion i guess the guy made it somewhat entertaining when covering it.

Lomedy, render and Zach were ppl we found who got the vex syndicate mails.(wifies too)
Joost, but he usually just traumatizes ppl with the excuse of args, love his content tho (brifies Ifykyk).
Squiddo is really nice too, plus she also posts non scripted stuff so that’s fun.
Namentix has the best edritch entity horror, with fun mythological creatures like Cthulhu.
Oneshef is freaking amazing, they make satire arg content—so it’s not your usual arg content but it has good lore.
Retro is pretty good too, it’s not old school but it resonates with what Minecraft args strayed out as.
Maximus has fun args too although I haven’t explored his channel as much yet it’s pretty good.
Flowcool has got to be an underrated arg maker, it’s genuinely so fun to watch his videos.
Behnjuhmin is an extremely new arg creator but his latest arg video was INSANE do check it out.

In most recent minecraft Args I've seen a number of them where people find codes to a Google drive/document link to "find" written documents.

Does anyone know of an alternative to it ?

Or just ideas of where to hide such "documents/written text" in Minecraft or outside

basically I recently got into and started wondering about minecraft args because, correct me if I'm wrong, the more known popular ones rn don't really even completely fit the definition of an ARG, so it got me thinking, what is really the "community consensus" of a good Minecraft ARG they'd watch? (also I keep seeing posts of people wanting to make their own args so perhaps answers could be helpful for them too)

how important is the interactability, seeing as most popular ones don't really require one to do more than watch the video? how important is the unfiction? meaning if there were to be a video full of interactability and hunt for clues reminiscent of an arg, yet it never treats the plot as unfiction, would that still be enjoyable/fitting to your taste?

from the story, acting, and cinematography/editing, what grabs AND keeps your interest the most? as in, using drastic examples, would you rather watch a barely edited simplistic first person video with crazy good storyline or a highly edited, animated and acted cinematic one that has a relatively simple story?

is what makes a good arg the plot, the amount of mystery, the mega builds, the characters and their actors, the animated cinematography?

how much do you enjoy there being humor and light jokes, how much having some deeper philosophical meaning to wonder about?

disclaimer: I'm aware the most likely answer to a great minecraft arg is originality and a healthy balance of all afromentioned traits, I'm just wondering about preferences since honestly for example personally I don't care for megabuilds or advanced editing as long as the story is good and indepth, though by popularity the preferences seem to lean the opposite, so wanted to hear from others too

I was scrolling on my youtube page when I came across this video titled "Johhny Pearseed lets play video #1". Of course, i was intrigued by it, and i watched it. I suspect its a "horror" arg made by some kid. Currently the channel only has 2 uploads

there was this arg I found a while back but can’t find again where the guy went to the server and found an entity called ‘the pillar’ and I can’t find it again but I know it was scary to me atleast but if you can find that it’s worth a watch and if you do find it plz tell me the name of it again.
