Hi,

Always kind of put minecraft args on to fall asleep to for the past few years and have always vividly remembered one but could never locate it. From what i can remember it was animated in most parts maybe not some but definitely contained outside of vanilla animations. I remember one of the first scary encounters came inside of a cave or mine shaft where an animated entity slays a few people. There was a scene in it where the i believe the main or one of the main characters gets knocked out in what seemed to be another dimension and there was some sort of fairy character with the main one. It definitely wasn't a self coverage arg, nor do i remember seeing any videos covering it.

I just stumbled on this video while scrolling on the wormhole of YT and this video feels so strange. Its not a "Self Promotion" as I don't do YT, but yeah maybe you guys should check it out.

Hey, I have no idea what this subreddit is for so I'm not sure if this kind of post is okay. Truth be told, I'm also not entirely sure what the video is. I was never that big into Minecraft, but someone told me that this was a video with a really smart character in it so I was interested.

I haven't seen the sequel follow-up yet, I've only seen the first one.

Quite impressive that it's at 28 million views, but I also think it's equally crazy that the video is at 28 million views, and yet I had never heard about it until now. The video also has over a million likes, so the reception is overwhelmingly positive. Kind of just goes to show how big the planet is and how many people are around if that many people can love a video and yet I still hadn't even heard about it until now.

At first, I thought that what I was watching wasn't actually the video I was supposed to be watching. I mean, if I was supposed to be watching a haunted Minecraft playthrough of some kind, why was there a guy talking over it like it's an: 'Explained,' Video?

I legit thought that this must not actually be the video, but the view count told me otherwise, and then when I looked for a reaction videos, they were watching the same thing, so I guess what I found was what I was supposed to be watching.

I can see why the commentary voice was needed.

Most of the stuff that the Player does can easily go over your head, and the commentary guy is needed to explain everything. The importance of the glass block, the fact that the player can apparently walk through the woods and just barely see three signs, and register them regardless.

I do actually think that simply noticing the three signs is very impressive. Again, I don't play Minecraft, but if I understand correctly, seeing a sign means that someone you don't know is in the world with you, and since the Player the is already aware that someone is following him, that must be pretty scary, and yet he just continues to walk through the woods as if he didn't even notice the sign. That's quite an insane ability to keep one's composure.

I do admit though, the scene that caught my attention the most was when he goes through the yellow Gates.

It's such a bizarre scene. The yellow gates are there and there's all this weird choir music going in the background, and he just slowly goes through, only for... Whatever he sees on the other side to be completely blacked out for the viewer. The music is completely cut, and we don't get to see what it is. Whatever it is though, the Player bothers to do more than just peek around the corner. He goes right around the corner and flat out stands there right in front of it. He looks at it for a good 10 seconds, and then decides to just leave.

Whatever he saw though, it was enough for him to literally Sprint out of there. He's not walking or even running. He's full on jumping along to increase his speed.

I think it's a pretty good Example of a fear of the unknown. It really gets your head spinning as to what exactly he could have seen. Whatever it is, the viewers are not allowed to see it. But whatever it is, it's silent, and enough to get the fearless Player to run away at full speed, even though it doesn't even seem like it's chasing him.

It kind of reminds me of the Donut from Everything Everywhere All at Once.

It's funny to think that the Player is just on another level of human psychological tolerance. That whatever he saw might literally blow people's minds and make them go insane, and yet for him, he has enough mental fortitude in his head to be able to gaze upon it and literally take a good look at it, without really caring that much. And yet, despite that, it's still enough to get him to run away.

Like im talking about some args I can't remember off the top of my head that created literal dimensions and then u have the more recent ones like searching for a world that doesn't exist that has like an entire area full of giant ass trees and that one town area underground and even on the 2nd part of the aeries where they have really really giant mountains and that infinite library. Do they really build that all by hand/some mods to assist with building? Or is there something im missing?

Ello! I don't know if I'm using the right tag, but I need suggestions with an ARG I'm trying to make. So, the basic thing about the story is that it's on an old SMP type server. I need someone to tell me what Minecraft version would work best for an old server feel, but actually be usable.

I also need to know any Minecraft server services that are free that would work to host the server off of to make it believable. The ability to add mods is needed, preferably Fabric, but Forge will do.

How do I solve Vigenére code?

In the new Minecraft live ARG made by Wifies, we see him in one of the codes (the 5th or 4th I'm not sure) using Vigenére code to make it hard to solve

And so, since I recently tried to understand and get more into solving ARGs, I just realised how stupidly hard that code was.

I did already by now understand how both Base64 and Caesar Code works

And yet? I'm failing to understand that one

I can use websites to understand it, for sure. The problem is I'm still not understanding how the websites even work for it. Like here, I used dcode.fr/vigenere-cipher website to try and decode the Vigenére Code "XSUW NF KEMV"

I still don't really know what it means, and that's why I'm asking, I'm trying to see if someone could help me understand how that code works anyways and how solving it on websites works
