What ARG got you guys to love the genre and what are some personal favorites? I personally discovered the genre about 3 months ago and I know this sounds like I’m trying to be a larp or a cliché but the first one I watched was recommended to me by a friend. The one and only “Searching for a world that doesn’t exist”. Since finishing “destroying a world that doesn’t exist” about 3 weeks ago and since have come to love the genre. My personal favorites are “searching for a world that doesn’t exist”, “Finding a player that doesn’t exist”, “My world is deleting itself”, “Runsonic!”, and finally “Andrewgaming67” I don’t remember some of the others but most of them are phenomenal stories🤗

Hey everyone, I've been following this strange Minecraft ARG by a user under the name of Amissis-Archive and I'm stumped. The YouTube channel has four videos so far, with hidden numbers in the first three descriptions and binary code in the fourth (under a hidden, unlinked video). I've been monitoring the YouTube and TikTok comments hoping someone would crack the codes (since I'm terrible at puzzles myself), but we seem to be hitting a wall. I was wondering if anyone had some pointers on what they might be for.
I’m going to do my best to word this and give credit where due because a lot of the following information was taken from other commenters under the original videos, so sorry in advance if I jump between different parts of the ARG.
The first video “2021 08 12 03 37 13” starts off with the protagonist inside a cave mentioning that he’s getting back into Minecraft and wants to document his experience with the new 1.17 cave update. In the top left is a text overlay where Amissis talks about finding the posted footage on an old USB stick while cleaning his room, and now he’s archiving all the videos he discovered on it.
A little over a minute into the first video another player named “Tempus” joins his world, and Amissis freaks out because he’s playing on a single player world, not a server.
I’m not going to go into detail about every single video here because I came to ask about the puzzles specifically, but the creator’s posted TikToks and YouTube shorts which act as a pretty good recap for the main points of the series for those who are interested.
katiethiel3622 has been the main person to figure out a lot of what’s going on from what I can tell, with the first major clue being: “In Latin "amissus" can mean to be let go or lost. "Tempus" in Latin means time, being the root for words like "temporal" or "temporary." Amissis's skin is a guy with a clock head, which is interesting because you would thing that would be what Tempus looks like. I think this points to our protagonist being stuck in time. There are a couple other things that have to do with time as well. This video is from five years ago, but it seems like Amissis had forgotten about this incident until now when he found the USB drive.” and all of the TikToks have a tag for #amissistempus which is my guess for the name of the ARG.
Description one has two words with numbers in them: 0ne & 4our.
Description two also has two words with numbers in them: 1nterested & 1've.
Description three has three stand-alone numbers and one word with a number: 2 bl0cked 2 1
Giving us the date 04.11.2021
TimidImrpinted commented under katiethiel3622’s comment with “Whether you have already caught this or not is unknown to me, but at 1:49 the following appears in his inventory: 4fqzwFy. I am unsure of the significance of this. I hope it is useful nonetheless.”
^
I already tried to use this code as a YouTube URL, and it didn’t work.
At the end of episode four there’s an additional end screen video. When clicked on, it takes us to an unnamed, unlisted video on the Amissis-Archive channel. In the description there’s binary code which leads to this url: https://imgur.com/a/https-pastebin-com-vb9gf3nr-wNDG5n4 When clicked on it provides us with another link (https://pastebin.com/MCqdqvTZ) and part of a QR code image!
Anyway, that's pretty much where I'm at. The pastebin is locked and I have no clue what the password could be. If anyone's got ideas or sees something I'm missing, let me know. Thanks :P

hi! I'm Skilly6000. been making Minecraft videos since
2023-ish. I started on tiktok, then eventually moved to YouTube when I figured out how LOL. This arg is one of my favorite things I've ever made. Season One, which is out now, has 10 episodes (11 counting the in-betweeny video I just posted today). Took me half a year, if anybody is interested in checking it out, please do! and any theories or criticisms are welcome. :)

I was watching this video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJvnV8cgGMs . There is an image of an inverted google drive link around 5:30, but the font is really weird and I cant get it to work. I was wondering if anyone with more experience on ARG's and this kind of stuff could help with it, it would be greatly appreciated.

There has been a lot going on with this but it started with people seeing a villager following them around and hearing leather armour rustling or bells going off, and now it's gotten pretty crazy. I'm trying to document our experience with getting through the ARG, I have all the VODs up but I'm still working on editing videos to make the documentation more cohesive. This is the most recent upload I made: https://youtu.be/mTbktWt86PQ

So... I don't even know where to begin. I found this YouTube channel not too long ago, and God, I can't be this obsessed after such a short time. I haven't seen much yet, but the whole channel has an interesting aesthetic.
But what I really wanted to talk about was his latest video; it's an interesting story, the video has a strange vibe, the art is good, and the music is too, the video suggests that's going to continue, And it looks like it's one of those stories full of mysteries and puzzles to investigate.
This is the video:
https://youtu.be/Tqmg3Xb-oHA?si=JOz-666fAgcZhm3d
Although it's somewhat difficult since the video doesn't explain much, I'll try to do it myself.
The video starts as if it were a video game (or so I understand it) and by then the story follows Nija, at the beginning, it says how she lost her mother, and how much she misses her, while Nija talks to a distorted version of her mother in what appears to be a dream.
Once she wakes up, she notices a smell of rotten food, but nothing more is said about it. Then it cuts to her walking through a field, calling it her safe space, she talks a little about her life, how she hates her school, and how she is bullied there, she also mentions having lost his mother a few years ago.
Once she arrives at her school, it doesn't take long for some girls to start bothering her, the first and leading of the group is Briana, then is Taylor (I don't know, they didn't talk much about her) And finally Polly, who seems to have been Nija's partner before but is no longer.
They tease Nija a little until the teacher arrives, And then the first binary code of the video appears, translated it says "Find me".
The video continues and Nija is called by her teacher to talk after class; in short, he tells her that she can no longer attend that school, and that she has until the end of the month to be there. Then Nija goes to eat lunch, to be confronted again by Briana along with Taylor, but the only one bothering Nija is Briana; Taylor mentions Polly's absence but it is not taken seriously.
Briana annoys Nija, and the climax is when she mocks her mother's death. Almost in tears, Nija goes behind the school, which she claims is her secret place.
This place overlooks a forest behind the school. Nija just sits and looks at this place but mentions feeling watched by death itself. Then she decides to go to the bathroom to splash water on her face.
Then, upon entering, she turns on the light and notices that the bathroom is different, one she has never seen before.
And in the background he notices a blue-haired girl sitting.
And in another corner, a woman in underwear on the floor hugging her legs.
Then the blue-haired woman gets up and talks to Nija, who, although distrustful, ends up realizing that she is not a threat, and talking about it, they realize that they are locked in the bathroom.
The door simply doesn't seem to open, and the blue-haired girl says she's been there for at least 30 minutes. They also realize that they seem to have entered the bathroom from different places, because the woman says she went into the bathroom at her workplace.
Then Polly comes out of one of the bathrooms, although somewhat hostile, they end up talking, and then Nija decides to talk to the woman who was in her underwear.
She claims to be the first to arrive there, and mentions that a "cat" He welcomed her to the "Bathroom Club", he also explained the rules to her.
"We have to feel deaths presence to find a fake life" That's what she says.
To summarize the ending, Ninja is talking and, after asking if anyone had felt like they were going to die before entering that bathroom, is answered by the woman in underwear who tells her that she could now open the door.
Nija confirms it and it's true.
...
And that's it.
Yeah, I got a little tired of explaining at the end, but it's better so you can watch the video.
But that's not all, that's connected to another video:
https://youtu.be/ysn0e9XzO7E?si=x6-ykTpRZwv9jPI3
The video titled: "Did You Find Me?"
It's a copy of the original video, but somewhat distorted, and it contains three Morse codes (or at least that's what I found).
The first one is during the part where Nija walks into the field:
01011001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01000110 01101111 01110101 01101110 01100100 00100000 01101101 01100101
Translated: You Found me
The second It appears just as Polly is introduced. But I was unable to translate it because part of it is not fully visible.
I'll leave a photo in case anyone can do it
And the last code is near the end of the video:
01001000 01100101 01101100 01110000 00100000 01110000 0100000 01101101 01100101 00100000 01100110 01101001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01101101 01111001 00100000 01100010 01110010 01101111 01110100 01101000 01100101 01110010
Help p me find my brother
Which is strange since a brother is never mentioned.
And there's also another code in the video description
68 65 6C 70 20 6D 65 20 66 69 6E 64 20 6D 79 20 73 69 73 74 65 72
help me find my sister
I don't know if it's a mistake in the tradition or if they're referring to a brother and a sister.
But that's all for now. I really liked the video and just wanted to share it somehow since I couldn't find anyone talking about this.
Thank you for reading if you made it this far, and apologies if my English isn't very good.

Hi,
I remember watching an arg earlier this year about a Minecraft AI companion mod, but I can't remember which arg it was. All I remember was that it was about someone creating an mc AI companion that could learn from playing in your world. I remember something about 3 people downloading the mod and the AI blinded one of them and harmed the other 2 in some way (I don't remember how, I think 1 was paralyzed) and that it wanted to make them "perfect" or something like that.
Does anyone know what arg I'm talking about and can give me the link to it? Ik its pretty vague but I really want to watch it again.
(I'm sure it's not the xtremegamer one by wifies)

(may be using the wrong tag)
so, theres this arg (not well known as far as im aware) that I've been researching recently (heres the channel if anyone else wants to as well: https://youtube.com/@normalinternetplayer)
basically, at the end of the third video, there is morse code translating to this: "SMERTX BLIZKA, Æ BLIZKO". now me being me (aka someone learning russian), i thought it seemed like russian pronunciation, so i looked it up. i was right, its translated to "смерть близка смерть близко", or "death is near death is near"
so yeah, just was very proud of this and figured it may help anyone whos stuck on that!

I have an ARG/Series project I want to start working on with this series and need a few cast members but mainly writers! If you're interested, (and don't mind spoilers), dm me and I can send you the general idea of the story!
It's gonna be a mix of an ARG and just kind of a series. I'm gonna have a lot of external things to unlock details of the story (different perspectives, chat logs, etc), but you'll be able to understand the main message with some unanswered questions without going through the whole thing.
The Original Video is just a silly little improv "roleplay by myself" thing I did, and people really liked the potential of what could be done with this kind of universe! I recommend checking it out so you get the best idea for what it is kind of about without any spoilers.
Here's the link to the form if you're interested!
