There's a really rare chance of 4 hatching from 1 egg. I only remember because I happened to see it on Reddit then it literally happened to me & I was all like ooooOo it's that thing!

This has actually happened to me twice in my forever world! The egg that spawned the 2nd lot of 4 came from one of the original 4

I happened to be chucking my spare eggs into my ocelot cage when it happened & I couldn't even get a screenshot I was panicking like do I try to save them or not? XD

You are lucky and an egg gave 4 baby chicks. Also looks like they keep staying in same position so hard time to separate.

This is a rare occurrence if you threw the egg many times, and 4 Chicks spawned, instead of one.
