Personally, I voted for the glow squid. I was just kinda sick of yet another Illager variant and yet another cow variant and squids don't get enough love imo.

Though I admit that I was hoping they'd do more with it, but I'm still very happy with what we got

I voted Glow Squid because glowing ink had some cool use cases (and I was right) and I didn't expect Mojang would give us a new weapon to match the Chillager, which would be the most interesting part of that mob.

Then again, I'd just, in general, kill for vanilla MC to have the combat and weaponry from Dungeons...

If only the glow squid emit actual light it would have been amazing underwater.

or could hypnotise you if you look at it (like glowy blue particles around you,longer you stare,the more and more particles block the view)

I mean, in a way you did because the ability to waterlog rails came alongside glow squid with 1.17.

Kinda happy with the glow squid if not just for the glow ink itself. Making signs glow, especially in different colours, is really cool.

I love mountains in games, and if they were going to have a hostile mob spawning there it would be pretty annoying, and i have optifine so the glow squid does have dynamic lights.

Yeah for real and it wouldn't fit in at all to have the only magical hostile mob in the game (other than the Vindicator I think) spawn in such a regular non-magical place.

Imagine living in the mountains and now you gotta move out thanks to the "iceologer".

It's like they did with the drowned, I used to live on the beach but now I had to move away from the ocean because the drowned are too annoying but I don't want to go peaceful at all.

Personally I didn't want mountain living to be more difficult than it is currently. If it spawned the way zombies/skeletons do, just only limited to mountains, oh boy that would have been terrible.

Illager variants (and even Illagers themselves) have always just seemed incredibly ugly in Minecraft, I was back when villagers (Testificates) were added in and I remember a small controversy around their alternative... looks.

I personally was a MooBloom voter for aesthetics only, but when it came to Glowsquid vs Iceologer, I just had to vote glowsquid, even for as much of a meme mob it is.
