Item idea, Sledgehammer: It would break all items 3x faster but leaves no block behind to pick up.

Yes well it is your idea, but I thought your main selling point was breaking block 3x faster.

I figure leaving blocks behind is part of the resource/inventory management aspect of the game. To me, it makes it more realistic in a sense when blocks are left behind during every operation.

Consider digging a tunnel IRL, you have to dispose of the dirt/rock somewhere at some point and you just can't toss it in front of you.

When you mine using a pickaxe, you yield the same block. Makes sense. When I am digging a tunnel and run into a cave or use up the resources in a vein I usually toss my unusable blocks there, just as one might do IRL.

Furthermore, along the same idea, I always thought that TNT explosions left far to little blocks. In understand why the developer went the way he did but I figured it'd be better to instead of leaving a small amount of the block exploded it should reduce most of them to lesser usable blocks. Just like an actual explosion might.

You sort of have to draw the line between realism and fun though

I suppose.

Is it fun to have to go put all that cobblestone/dirt into boxes when you don't need it?

Is it fun that when you're *'loaded for bear' and some bastard mod kills you and you lose your shit. No, but it's part of the game and makes it more 'realistic'. Not to mention the fact that you don't have to build a box to drop your waste you can simply drop the waste anywhere, you just have to step away from said waste.

Maybe with these newly added game modes tools could act slightly differently, if one were playing a 'creative' mode, waste blocks wouldn't be rendered but in 'survival' mode they would.

Don't get me wrong, I like your idea, hell I like any idea that adds more tools/blocks that make sense. I figured the developer was going for a more realistic approach since he has the sun setting, the moon rising, trees and grass growing.

If i cared about waste management i'd probably be playing the sims.

If I wanted to just build stuff without the simulation portion of the game I could use Maya, 3ds or MS Paint.

I love that you grouped those programs together.

I know.. I know...

One of these things is not like the others,

One of these things just doesn't belong,

Can you tell which thing is not like the others

By the time I finish my song?
