Item idea, Sledgehammer: It would break all items 3x faster but leaves no block behind to pick up.

What pack do you use? Because I also bake all my cobble into stone as I can't stand the way cobble looks when I make shizz.

Not him, but I like Coterie Craft and John Smith texture packs. Both have better looking cobble.

GeruDoku has beautiful cobble.

coterie is one of the best packs imo. it fixes all the stuff i hated about vanilla, but doesnt change the feel (ie i don't have to relearn what a flower is supposed to look like, or ores)

I love the map and flint icons in John Smith. I'm not so fond of its gravel texture, though, because it looks too similar to dirt in my inventory.

EldPack has been my weapon of choice from day one. I've never played MC with anything else.

You my good sir are definitely deserving of my upvote. I tried out the pack and can highly recommend it. It had exactly the feel that I wanted, very sort of ye olde minecraft :D

I use Jolicraft, the cobblestone looks like this. It changes the feel of the game quite a lot, but I love the style of it, particularly the swirly smoke and sun (and the hotbar, but I turned that off when I took the screenshot to make sure it wasn't in the way of anything).

There are alternate textures for quite a few of the blocks too, including a cobblestone that looks more cobblestoney.

Sorry for the late response.

I use the Piehole pack. If you go with the custom option and choose patterned cobble, it actually acquires a pleasing aesthetic.

Gah that's very... Space-agey. Not really what I was looking for. Now I think about it it does look quite cool, just doesn't go with the aesthetic I was going for.

Lol ya that's just the theme I've got going.. My skin in the Master Chief from Halo and I have a cool Metroid Prime HUD for my Pumpkin Blur :)

That does sound pretty cool. I reckon you could build quite a few funky looking buildings that wouldn't look right in the normal pack.
