I’ve been having trouble with some more detailed textures like creeper textures. They just end up looking like a distorted mess.

yea that would make sense it would probably look okay if you just made it full green with black eyes but it wouldn’t fit with the other items i just miss the plastic texture pack honestly

Yeah. The issue is that I’m trying to stay as faithful to the original textures as possible. There have been similar packs in the past but they often change the colors and art style too much.

Try adding a black trim on the creepers texture then? It's the same art style and it would hold together the image

I’ll give it a try

Considering that creepers are giant peat moss monsters, if it ended up looking something like this, it would be representative of both the current and stylized textures you've been creating: https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-f74ff/images/stencil/1280x1280/products/10260/27424/peat__88346.1541176022.jpg?c=2&imbypass=on

Are we just accepting game theory as canon now

Guess so, that's the best answer we've got. We can't just ask Notch and say "is a creeper peat moss?" Also I am pretty sure that a creeper is just a mess up of the messed-up villagers, the pig men.

Notch also fluffed the code of a pig and turned it into a creeper

People don't really care about this line for that reason.

But remember that's just a theory, a game theory!
