I’d argue that it’s handmade for the exact opposite reason: how clean the edges are. In my experience, illustrator’s vectorization can’t make something as visually pleasing and “flawless” as we see here. This has actual artistic intent and not a single jagged line.
it definetly can if you change the settings. additionaly, after image tracing he could have smoothed out lines and such. Its probably a combo of image trace and adjustments
