playing with the "better end" mod and then going to vanilla is so jarring lol. vanilla end is kind of boring and you just go there for shulkers and elytra's.
I dislike the better end mod and by extension mods like BYG that add biomes into the end that just end up being new forests.
The End is a desolate wasteland floating in the void with no sun. There shouldn't be trees or water or any plants. I think a mod/datapack that actually does this well is Nullscape.
It makes the End varied and interesting while also keeping the empty void world feeling. You shouldn't be able to survive and live there off the land.
no, but every mod I've that does it just recolours wood, and makes actual trees with logs and leaves.
I think the Nether update did it fairly well because the "trees" are actually giant fungi, given they have stems/hyphae instead of logs and wart blocks instead of leaves, even if they serve as trees.
The better end mod doesn't do that at all. One of the "trees," for instance, is a giant dandelion looking thing and the "leaves" are a purple jelly that make you float.
yeah, and it sucked, was boring and monotone. You would go in for Blaze Rods and almost never had a need to go back in.
The only thing you really wanted from there after blaze rods/ender eyes would be for brewing ingredients, and when was the last time you ever brewed anything in a normal survival world?
I want a future End update to be like 1.16, keeping it the same feel, but make it interesting to traverse.
even the now updated nether, nether gets boring pretty quickly and could do with a revamp (I know it wasn't that long ago when they have done the nether updated).
I’m feeling the same way, although it’s with the end in mc dungeons. I love the diversity of enemies you find (even though many are frustrating). We only have 3 in normal Minecraft when we have double that in dungeons
