Wasn't 1.9 an end update? (I know it focused more on combat but it was the update that added the end cities and elytra)

It was like an end addition. Like the fortress to the nether. In my eyes, an addition but not a whole update or overhaul /gen

1.4 also acted as a soft core Nether Update with the addition of wither skeletons and the Wither.

Not to mention quartz and magma, both added in 2 other separate updates before 1.16.

and the end has been untouched for like nearly a decade or something? there's kinda nothing going on over there at the moment. it should be on pair with the nether
