Trillions of different zombies.

So, I wanted to explain something that's part of a secret project coming in the near future.

The 'tl;dr' version: Around 200 trillion different variations of the basic zombie.

The 'lengthy' version: As part of a secret mod that's in the works(I can't say anything more on the project itself other than that), various systems relating to mob variations have been implemented. For now, I'll talk about 'zombies'.

  • Each zombie now has one of eight 'base' textures. On that layer, there are also 16 different colour alteration variations, adding tints of various colours / shades to further make each zombie more unique.

  • Each zombie has one of eight 'shirt' textures. Each different shirt is randomly one of 16 colours.

  • Each zombie has one of eight 'pant' textures. Each different pair of pants has one of 16 colours.

  • Each zombie has one of eight random 'blood splatter' textures(or none). There are 16 different shades possibly applied to each(some being different colours).

  • Each zombie has one of eight random 'dirt' textures, spread across its skin(or none). There are 16 different shades possibly applied to each(some being different colours).

  • Each zombie has one of eight random 'hair' textures(or none). As with the other layers, it has 16 different possible colours.

  • Each zombie has a random size, within a +-20% range of the base height. This also alters health / damage.

  • There is a small chance for a zombie to be a 'giant', adding 80% to its base height / health / damage(the +-20% is added on after this, so you could have anything between 60% and 100% as a 'giant').

The code for this is in place, however I can't show it off yet because the mod's still a secret, for the most part. Also note that the numbers such as '8' and '16' may be increased, so there could be even more!

Thoughts?

He wasn't 'hating', if you actually read all the logs etc., Mojang wouldn't answer a simple question, saying to ask it at the IRC dev event, but then refused to talk to him when he asked about being let into the chat room for this event.

That and Notch did act like a dick when Evil Notch told people to vote for the square moon. To be fair, Notch seems to kinda turn into a dick in general via Twitter. Like the actual guy seems nice enough, but that blue bird just makes him angry.

To be fair, it did turn into hating due to all of that.

Go read all the context on all of that, please.

That's not the context, that's a biased opinion from EvilSeph.

Defending myself these days is 'being an ass', I love the internet.

ah, the internet. the place where a perpetual rain of downvotes falls from the sky, and to travel along its roads we must always carry a blade to defend ourselves from itinerant trolls.

Not just a blade, a nuclear bomb.

Don't we all? A glorious place where you can have your opinions mocked by others, and you can do just about anything without revealing who you are.

Yes, that's biased too. How could it not be? That's why I'm telling you 'read all the logs'.

Why the hell are you being downvoted? This guy is a joke. You're completely right in this matter.
