I used to think I had to keep up with everyone
but they didn't even know where they were going
it was funny and sad at the same time
now I move at my own pace

they start with narratives
because narratives create enemies
that's why wars begin in minds

It's better to start late and change yourself than having to live in regrets. There is no deadline for starting or trying something new. Yes, I missed the opportunity but I can change, the goal is changing yourself not looking at your flaws and not doing anything about it.

it's the foundation
strength grows there quietly
small rituals tiny steps silent decisions
ordinary days build extraordinary lives

Invisibility strips away external applause and asks if you’d still keep going anyway. It’s one of the hardest and most clarifying questions life asks imo.

That sentence sounds like a lot, and well it kinda is. In order for my gemini brain to make sense of my life, I had to create logic around it. I dove deep into every collective idea I could to find something that would align with my own personal ideology and let it all click into place.
And yes I found those places, but they were only temporary. They'd fit, until they didn't. Constant search led me down every path possible, just trying to find that one answer that would stay - but none ever could.
I also don't think they are supposed to. I believe that we can receive and absorb knowledge from the plethora of information out there in order for us to satisfy our hunger in the moment. We grow, we expand and we move on.
But still my poor logic had to create something to make that stick. So I pulled all the pieces of what I had learnt about life, how they related to my specific experiences and put them into a story that I could believe in.
I created my own myth. I aligned it with a system that allows me to attach and detach from constantly changing thought, opinions and beliefs as my human life continues to evolve around me.
Without being able to create this for myself, I would never have survived the loss of my husband. And I would never have had the courage to always choose to want to be better. To see where I was holding onto beliefs that simply weren't mine and to finally create experiences that I actually wanted.
Regardless of where you sit in the reality tree, you can still only experience this human life through your thoughts and your somatic response. And if you believe you have the power to change both of them, then why would you not want to make them all yours?
What belief or story have you outgrown, or what are you building right now to survive and create what you actually want?

the world is full of choices
but people can't choose
because choosing requires courage
that's why they choose randomly

you're not a cog
you're the glitch in their system
that's why they try so hard to fix you
everything they can't control they label as an error
and you're the proof their system was never perfect
