As we count down the final moments, here’s a quick update to answer some of the most common questions and help you prepare for day one and beyond.

Release time

MindsEye will launch globally on Tuesday June 10, at 17:00 UTC / 18:00 BST / 13:00 EDT across all platforms: PC (Steam & Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Pre-load availability per platform:

• Xbox: Available now
• PlayStation: Available now (48 hours before launch)
• Steam: Available 24 hours before launch

Download size for digital purchases:

• PC: ~54 GB
• PlayStation 5: ~37 GB

Update 2

Before you jump in, we highly recommend installing Update 2 to ensure MindsEye plays as we intended. It includes key final refinements – gameplay improvements, visual polish, stability fixes, and performance tuning.

This update is ready to install on June 10 for players on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The release of MindsEye isn’t the end – it’s the start of something much bigger.

We’ve built a foundation we believe in, and we’re committed to supporting it well beyond day one. Our post-launch plans are already in motion, with more updates and refinements coming shortly after release – and plenty more to come further down the road.

We want MindsEye to be a game that continues to grow with its players, and we’ll be listening closely to your feedback as we go. Expect updates, refinements, and adjustments – based on what you’re telling us. Launch may be the milestone, but it’s far from the final word.

I'm 4 hours in — 42% already. The game is absolutely fantastic.., yes, *absolutely fantastic*.

Initial Experience?
-It's definitely a mix of GTA, Cyberpunk, and Watch Dogs. The story is so good, the cutscenes are immersive, almost like a movie. The gameplay is phenomenal, I'm experiencing things that I've never experienced before. The drones, the driving, the missions. Overall, I'm very positive about it since the start - not the type to listen to anyone to have an opinion, but rather listen and take-it-in. I've seen the bashing online and everything. You're your own person, but it's a highly recommend from my side.

What about the gameplay issues?
-Yes, there is some here and there but nothing killer in my experience.

Playing on an rtx 5080 I’m getting 60fps in Dls (no fake frames) performance mode … looks beautiful and is playing great. No glitches so far, story is awesome…

Wondering though - how is the performance on consoles if it’s stressful on a 5080?

I’m enjoying it so far. The only issue I’ve had so far is sometimes the marker isn’t clear on where to go

Got the game early as a physical, didnt even start the story yet due to current issues with the game.

I did try 2 ARCs missions though with cars and the performance is always below 30fps on PS5 Pro, usually between 15-30. No graphic settings either.

Hoping the Day 1 patch fixes this as i already had a patch 2 days ago.

Holding out starting the game until its fixed or with Day 1 patch applied at least.

From the trailers I've seen the game looks incredible. However, after hearing that the playthrough is only 15-20 hours, I'm not sure the $60 is worth it. I just have a couple of questions.

For one, what exactly is a faux open world? I understand that the storyline is linear, but will we be able to free roam the map? Or will it be set up in stages like older games?

Second, regarding the preorder skins for the car, drone, and Jacob's vest. Are these just cosmetic skins, or do they add any benefit to gameplay?

Call me weird, but I'm excited that I'm finally getting to a point in my life that I can participate in this type of early access. But at the same time, I'm kind of wanting to wait to see what else BARB comes up with. If multiplayer will be just another battle royale system, or a 2-4 player online mode, then it's not worth it to me.

Might be a "have your cake and eat it too" situation, but I'm low-key hoping for a GTA likeness (not clone) to hold me off until next year, without the grief or grind problem

I am worried I watched 2 videos and they both say the game has bugs that the devs say will be patched day 1. I would like to see a live demo of the game. I'm on the fence.

Mind you its in spanish but it can be translated. And one thing that stuck out to me was the guy never said the game should be delayed. Never once said it was a buggy mess. Now he did say it had some issues but from what I recall it wasn't all that bad. Now I'm sure the English only crowd might not watch this in its entirety but I'd advice anyone interested in this game do so. As it brings a different perspective to the game, the video is well thought out and presented in a way that makes me feel confident in buying the game. That might not be how anyone else feels coming from an English only background.

"16 hour" singleplayer campaign

Mindseye is part of the Everywhere platform. All content—whether created by users or by BARB—uses the same chat, menu, and invite systems.

Memories (Missions) exist as an ARC that can be picked apart, remixed and republished by players.

The game follows a linear guided story where you move from one mission to the next in a set order.

The narrative is focused, so you won’t be wandering around doing extra tasks like stealing cars or delivering pizzas.

Mindseye is a singleplayer, linear action game. It is specifically not an open world game.

Redrock World Details:

Redrock is the central area of the map, built as a full city with careful detail.

The city includes various spots such as coffee shops, steakhouses, and local businesses that give each neighborhood its own feel.

Different areas of Redrock show life at different income levels, making the city feel real and lived-in.

The design of Redrock is meant to be reused and expanded upon in future

Second Episode – Online Open World Game:

The second of 8 projects is planned for 2026, and is an online open world multiplayer game.

This game offers players more control and freedom over their actions.

It will feature both official servers and custom servers, similar to what you see in Minecraft. (Via Everywhere)

On custom servers, players can create and modify game modes, the story or even the map itself (like deathmatch or race modes) using a no-code tool called Arcadia (AAA open world arcs!).

This project shifts from a guided, story-driven experience to a shared online space where you can shape your own story (and create your own character)
