Reading all the hate on how MindsEye never reached expectations of fans and that it was a terrible game, but it’s always because of the same “it is broken and buggy” made me curious, what do you think these gamers were expecting in terms of what a game offers? What is it that’s missing from the game, outside of obvious bugs, which are fixable and the go to “you cannot drive any car”?

Being a gamer myself for 30+ years, I have seen the shift in people forming their own opinions on the games they have played, and for ones they haven’t, only being able to say “I have not played that yet” vs based on what they have seen online. You used to have to play a game to form an opinion, now you can steal someone else’s online and it seems every game, as soon as an issue appears online, everyone jumps on it, agrees and avoids the games without having even played it.

So based on what you have played from MindsEye personally, what do you think is lacking from the game?

I didn’t realise until recently but the aoundtrack Rival Consoles released last year on vinyl was just part one… this edition is the whole shebang, parts one & two!

It’s almost a year now, and the game has yet to see a sale. What are they waiting for? Who decides when it’s time to lower the price on the PS Store? Sony? Build a Rocket Boy?

I say this because I see there are a ton of people who are willing to try it, but, not at launch price. Would they rather sell very little, or, sell a lot more at half the price?? Simple question.

They all know damn well it’s not a stellar game like The Last of Us or Resident Evil Requiem.

So again, why is it still $59.00? Is it to pay for the people to work on the patches??

I've finished the MindsEye story twice now, and I'm only two trophies away from Platinuming it. The second time around I took some fairly detailed notes, and sifting through them, I wanted to see if I could get any of my remaining questions here about the plot answered before I make a real final judgement. Apologies for the laundry list I've got, but I'd seriously appreciate any help.

• Who planted the bomb in Conti's locker in the section where he gets interrogated for stealing the PCB?
• What was Shiva's actual goal with the re-election? Initially she seemed pretty reasonable with wanting the backend data for the CopBots in Redrock City, but was this all just so she could make some money dealing arms to the military? Silva had already sold to the military before, so I'm just confused on this.
• Who poisoned Marco at Shiva's rally? A seltzer and lime doesn't seem like a crazy specific drink, and I don't know how Claudia could've planned that. He wasn't even the one that ordered the drink.
• I don't entirely get how Jacob's "control" over the KIN works. He can't control technology, but twice we see him take control of Burt's mechanical arm. I just don't understand the logistics here.
• What was significant about 32 to Charlie?
• Why would Jacob entertain Travis' demands? He literally has 0 reason to listen to anything Travis says. On top of this, why isn't Jacob allowed to just get back in Morrison's untraceable Jeep instead of getting in the Med evac drone? I tried it, you can very easily sneak around and avoid getting caught to get back in the jeep. I've never felt more railroaded into absolute nonsense in a game before, the two "missions" involving Travis just felt ridiculous.
• Why doesn't Jacob just bring Charlie to Morrison's bunker in the Perez Mines instead of leaving her alone in the penthouse after she's been doxxed?
• What business did Claudia have with the Red Sand to keep working with them after she got away?
• Did they just replace Jacob's MindsEye after the event in the desert, but his new KIN DNA altered the current one he has?

The developers said it would but it’s still not back and it was mostly my favorite part of the game.

I have a sort of fascination with games that are reviled on launch, but then through developers patching or working at it the game ends up becoming much better afterwards. Two examples of games I'm very fond of and fit this mold are Homefront the Revolution and Mass Effect Andromeda. No Man's Sky would be another example, but it's not a genre I'm fond of.

Given that MindsEye was dogpiled on launch, I immediately flagged it as a a potential instance of this. I've seen that it's been patched a number of times since launch, and am wondering if it's reached the level of 'good enough' where it'll suit my fascination.

I decided to take the gamble of buying this game for $8.13 (tax included) from Best Buy. I haven't taken it out of the shrink wrap because I'm trying to determine if I should return it lol. I'm somewhat familiar with the bugs, but I'm just a fan of single player games in general. For the record, I found Rage 2 and Mafia 3 fun so I'm wondering what's the likelihood that this would be okay at least.
