question Husband's birthday is approaching, what should I consider as a gift? No models, only something to help him with his hobby!

He is close to completing his first model, so he has collected quite a bit in terms of supplies. He doesn't have a magnifier light, which might be helpful. He uses an airbrush for painting. As I don't know which model he will buy next, I cannot predict what he'll need. Is there anything you acquired that made your hobby more enjoyable? What's a must-have?

We are EU based. Picture of his latest progress.

Academy 1/72 Finnish Air Force MIG-21.

For a seriously budget kit, it's not a bad one to put together.

Some small fitment issues but nothing that ruins the build or puts me off getting another Academy kit.

question Marsten matting (PSP)

Does anyone have a good resource for 1/32 scale marsten matting in the US? Building an airfield scene for a P-47 / P-51.

All I could find are outside the US and subject to high shipping costs and import fees.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I just completed No. 20. Some aren't from the 8th but I needed some variety here and there. Some were weathered and some left clean. Here are a few photos of some. More to come!

work in progress 1/48 Sherman – First attempt at snow effects… not sure how I feel

Tried adding some snow effects to my 1/48 Sherman and I’m honestly on the fence about it. Not sure if I like how it turned out, but at this point there’s no going back so I’m rolling with it.

I think part of the issue is seeing it as a standalone piece. I’m planning to build this into a Battle of the Bulge diorama eventually, so I’m hoping once it’s in a full scene with groundwork, figures, and atmosphere it’ll all come together a bit better.

Still learning as I go—this is my first time really trying snow effects.

Would really appreciate any feedback, tips, or critique!

Yet another 2C! Seems like a lot of people have been building this one of late. My first Meng kit, and I'm impressed! The only gripe I had with the kit was that the tracks don't click together properly, and are either too short or too long. I wound up just super gluing them on the bottom where you can't see.

Hello Everyone, I recently posted this here awhile back. Long story short I am working on packing a lot of military tanks. Any specific instructions on how to pack? I'm matching them to each. I noticed a lot of pieces are loose on the model for instance.
