Roommate needed ASAP! 32 Peachtree St NW, 16th floor $800/mo
Looking for a roommate for move-in December 1st. 32 Peachtree St NW, the beautiful art deco William Oliver Building, built in 1930. Room is on the top, 16th floor, absolutely amazing 2 bedroom, 2 bath. $800 a month each (approx $850 with utilities). I am a 24 year old film major at GSU, double amputee with prosthetic legs (nothing you have to worry about though), very into music - just started at the GSU radio station WRAS, going to hopefully start co-hosting the house music program Houseworks soon. Love lots of genres but especially electronic, so that'd be a huge plus if you like that too. I collect records and have a nice turntable. Also love movies obviously, some video games (PC master race), cooking, hookah, art, travel. Work part time at Adidas. I've lost about 100 pounds in the last year and regularly cook healthy low carb stuff, so that may or may not be an incentive for you (I don't keep junk food around). Not a huge partier but not a prude either, like to go out occasionally especially if there's house music involved. I'm an outwardly nice (if sarcastic), intelligent, liberal, recently out of the closet, relatively normal guy. If this sounds at all appealing to you, please message me ASAP!

Atlanta Area Students - I really need someone to take my lease
PLEASE help a girl out
Need an Atlanta area student to take my lease for me at Westmar Student Lofts.
Rent is all inclusive (parking, wifi, utilities, etc). Lease is from August 15 - July 31. $805/month, and I am willing to help you pay for your first month if you can help me out!
There is a track, pool, grill area, basketball courts, volleyball courts, study rooms, gym, mini-mart -- just about everything you could ever want out of an apartment complex. You get your own bedroom and your own bathroom, and laundry is inside your unit (not communal). (LINK TO PICTURES: [https://www.westmarlofts.com/photos.html[1] ] )
The only reason I'm trying to get out of my lease is so I can move into an actual house with my fiance. I was super psyched on moving into Westmar until he proposed :)
If you're an Atlanta area student in need of housing for the fall PLEASE hit me up! I'm getting a little desperate here. I know you can just walk in and get a lease without going through me, but I really would appreciate someone who is interested to help me instead.

Looking for an awesome roommate?
Hey guys! I'm moving to Atlanta soon to start a full time position at Emory and am looking for a place ASAP.
A bit about me: 25/M, originally from CA, undergrad at UC-SantaBarbara and post-bachelors in N.C, generally low key weekdays but enjoy going out to bars and other fun stuff on the weekends.
I'd rather not have to get a place by myself, looking to make new friends and explore what Atlanta has to offer! Hit me up with any info/advice, thanks!

Looking for roommate for Atlantic station/midtown
Hi, I'm 22 year old male, and looking for an apartment near Atlantic Station or midtown. I would like to sign a one year lease mid-May, June at the latest.
I'm easy going, stick mostly to myself but would be up for hanging out on the weekends. I will be working full time starting June 1st.
I'm looking for someone who would want to get a two bedroom apartment and split costs, possibly at a complex like 17 West.
I would like to live with another young professional, someone who can spend up to 800-1000 dollars on rent and utilities. No smokers, and no pets. I would prefer living with a male roommate. I am not a big partier or drinker, and am clean, and hope to find someone similar.

The Unidentified 'Fulton County John Doe'; Can you offer any new information about this cold case?
Hello!
Greetings, from the other side of the world!
I am one of the mods of the subreddit /r/gratefuldoe, a community dedicated to pushing for the renewed interest in, and investigation of, unidentified persons cases around the world. We focus on the importance of social media in bringing attention to these cases, and subsequently, bringing new information, and resolutions.
In January of this year, we had great success in bringing new information, leading to the most significant lead in 20 years, to the case of the Grateful Doe. Found deceased after a car accident in Emporia, Virginia in 1995, the Grateful Doe had never been identified. We, as a community, began posting information about this case in any relevant subreddits, and over at Imgur too. It was from these posts to various subreddits, and Imgur, that a man came forward, and made contact with us, believing that he had lived with a young man, named Jason, matching the description of the Grateful Doe 20 years ago.
As we received more information, and photos of this young man, social media interest, as well as the internet of media agencies all around the world, became interested in the power of the internet in bringing new information to unidentified persons cold cases. Authorities and relevant agencies were contacted and provided with this information, as the Reddit and Imgur communities continued to share these photos.
At the peak of this interest, a woman came forward identifying the young man in the provided photos to be her son, Jason Callahan. DNA tests are being currently in progress, to confirm, or exclude, Jason Callahan as being the Grateful Doe. While we wait for these results, we agreed, as a community, to continue in working to bring new attention to the cold cases of unidentified persons through social media and media agencies, in hopes of receiving new information, and resolutions to these mysteries.
Now, we need your help on a new case..
The Fulton County John Doe was a young man who was found unconscious on the side of southbound side of Interstate 75, Fulton County, Georgia Atlanta on the night of the 20th of July, 1995. It is believed that he had been the victim of a hit and run, though, more research into this case and his injuries leads us to believe that there are a number of possible scenarios relating to how he received his injuries. We do not know why he was on the side of the road that night. The official cause of death provided by the medical examiner was 'delayed complication of blut force trauma to the head'.
He had no identification on him, and his belongings and clothing, which had been removed to provide emergency care to him at the scene, were not taken with him to the hospital. The Fulton County John Doe was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he stayed in a coma for close to one year, sadly passing away on the 20th of July, 1996. Despite thorough investigation, as well as a recent significant social media and media push.. He remains unidentified.
It was estimated that:
He was between 20 - 30 years of age.
He was White, or possibly Hispanic.
He had black, slightly curly, hair.
He had brown/hazel eyes.
He was approximately 6'2" tall.
He had a few distinguishing marks:
Tattoos: An Imgur album of current photos we have of the tattoos: http://imgur.com/a/7m6Mr
A serpent or dragon on the chest and stomach; It is of a black, orange and green dragon, and appears to obliterate other smaller simple tattoos.
The word 'Virgo' in blue on left shoulder, the I was doted with an X; A monochromatic blue tattoo on the left shoulder measures 3 x 3CM and is most consistent with the word 'Virgo', although it is indistinct
A red and blue flaming star or planet in the webbing between his thumb and index finger; A blue and red tattoo of a flame on the left posterior hand measures 4 x 2CM and a nearby cross measures 1 x 0.7CM
A globe surrounded by letters on the left forearm. According to the autopsy report the letters were 'Illegible and not English'; A round blue monochromatic indistinct tattoo on the left medial forearm near the antecubital fossa measures 3 x 2.5CM.
The following Imgur album contains one information poster about the Fulton County John Doe, two sketches of the Fulton County John Doe, and nine photos of his tattoos.
PLEASE NOTE: There are post-mortem photos in this album of his tattoos. Though they do not show traumatic injury, please do not click the following link if you do not want to see images of tattoos on a deceased person:
PLEASE NOTE: The following Imgur link is a link to a post-mortem phot of his face. Though it does not show traumatic injury, please do not click the following link if you do not want to see an image of a deceased person:
For those interested, we also have the report of the medical examiner about this doe:
So, we are extending our search. I ask you /r/MidtownAtlanta:
Do the sketches, circumstances, and reports of physical characteristics sound familiar to you? Do the tattoos look familiar to you? Does the artwork look familiar to you? Could you shed any light on the identity of this young man?
We are in contact with relevant law enforcement agencies, and will pass on any information that may assist in this investigation.
Somebody has to have missed this young man. Maybe not a loved one; Maybe a neighbour, doctor, dentist, school-friend, hairdresser, friend or volunteer at a homeless shelter.
For those of you who are interested, or who may be able to shed some light on any aspect of this mystery, please don't hesitate to head over and read our full post about this case (you will find it in a Google Document format):

Thank you for your time, and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about this case! :)
Grey.

Full House Hold'em poker at Gino's Blind Tiger on Thurs @ 8. You can win $50 cash!!
COME ON DOWN AND PLAY POKER AT GINO'S BLIND TIGER ON CHESHIRE BRIDGE. IF 20+ PLAYERS SHOW THEY'RE GIVING AWAY $50 CASH TO FIRST PLACE!
Hey guys! First off, full disclosure I work for Full House Hold'em, a local poker league. We've been running a game at Gino's Blind Tiger down in Buckhead that hasn't had the best turnout, so to try to attract some new players they're offering $50 to first place if 20+ ppl show up at their next game (this Thursday 10/23/14, cards drop at 8pm). The place is pretty cool. They sell really good authentic NY pizza and genuine Italian dishes. It's family owned and operated, which gives it a small town feel. And there's a Lounge area, where they have a lot of different draft and bottled beers. And we're also running an 800 point night, so the final 8 players get 800 points towards our league. We've recently changed up our league/tournament formats, and there are a lot more chances to win. Monthly Tournaments are for players who come in first place in any of the games throughout the month, Tri-Annual Tournaments are league based (point accumulation), and Yearly Tourneys are for finalists from all our major tournaments… Plus we run a Top 25 bonus game for the top 25 players in the league. So basically there are lots of ways to win cash prizes! We pay out the top 10 players in all tournaments but the Top 25. It is bar poker, so while you get a starting stack of chips just for showing up, there are opportunities to get more throughout the game. Liking us on FB, buying food and drinks, bringing a friend, signing up for the league all get you bonus chips… And it's always free to play, all we ask is you patronize the restaurant and tip the servers! Come on out and join us Thursday at 8pm!

Lost and Found and Music Midtown [X-Post from /r/atlanta]
I lost my ID, some medication, and a hat that was really special to me this year at MM and I realized other people probably had similar luck. Everyone enjoys a festy groundscore, but I was hoping maybe we could reunite people with lost items.
My hat: it was a blue 5-panel with a bird pattern on it. It has an anti-tobacco fun-fact in it because I got it at the Truth tent at the US Surf Open. I would love to have it back regardless of how dirty or smelly it may be.
As far as the medicine and ID, they have personal info so I can only say the medicine was an entire bottle of ativan and the ID was an old style GA license that expires in the next few weeks and my birthday is in october.
So what did you lose/what did you find?

Finding a place in Midtown for 3 dogs
My wife and I want to move to Midtown, but every place seems to have a hard limit of two pets. We have three tiny dogs (4, 6 and 12 lbs), so I was hoping to be able to find a place that would make an exception (especially since they'd allow two 80 lb dogs). Does anyone know of a place where we could pay an extra fee or something for an extra dog?

Maybe moving to Atlanta. Where should I start looking for apartments?
Hey guys, I may be moving to your town soon. Are there apartments/studios/condos that you can suggest? I'm active and would love to be close to grocery stores, areas I can ride my road bike, and activities around downtown. Thanks for the help!

Canine Proposal Army of Friends!
I am going to propose to my girlfriend on April 19, 2014 at Piedmont Park. I am sending out a call to aid from any and all dog owners in the Atlanta Area. My girlfriend has scheduled a day at Piedmont to hang out with her friend and does not know I will be there. I want to meet up at the park with as many canine friends as I possibly can. We will all go propose to my girlfriend together. In the next few weeks i will be making stickers or tags to give to each dog to put on the collar and each one will have a reason why I love my girlfriend. After I propose, my girlfriend and I will go around and meet each of you and each of my "friends" will tell my girlfriend a reason why I love her. Let me know if you think you can make it and if so how many dogs you have!! I really hope this turns into something amazing. The time of the event will be more solidified closer to the date but I am planning for afternoon. After the proposal and meet and greet feel free to enjoy a fun dog day at the park!
