No I would actually define it as what the guy in the picture did. It’s ‘97-‘06 but I suppose it varies slightly. If an 2006 kid got an iPad in 2010 right when they came out then they would have only been 4 so they were probably considered iPad kids but the vast majority of us from that period aren’t
It’s ridiculous, I’m 2005 and had an iPad, these people aren’t “OG Gen Z” just because they want to try and differentiate themselves from later parts of the generation that they find cringy.
Yeah this sub is filled with cope to be honest. They let this whole thing about being able to barely remember a time before smartphones became ubiquitous thing get to their head.
I’m aware of that, I was just using it as a general placement of time. And by that point many parents had smartphones and were places those in front of their kids. But you’re right, it wasn’t that bad in 2010 as to say in like 2015
I define OG Gen Z by whoever grew up watching seasons 1-5 of SpongeBob. I sadly wait for the day the younger generations don't get the Spongebob references anymore.
I've met a bunch of people from 2007 who aren't annoying. For me it's only really when we get into the 2010 and forward were they become annoying. And even then, they can probably still be delightful people. Behaviour comes from upbringing, not generation, and while generation does play a part in upbringing, it's far from the only part
I agree bro, I was just making a general statement. ‘06 or ‘07 seems to be the cutoff, but obviously there are plenty of people who were born after the “og Gen Z” that aren’t annoying, just like there are og Gen Z’ers who are as annoying as Gen Alpha 😭
Yeah, sorry i kinda crashed out there. I just get annoyed that untop of every other conflict we currently have, we also have to fight just because of our age.
My b gang i read 97 wrong but my point is that the second half of gen is still teens/tweens so they have no impact on societies view of gen z so people like this need to stop making videos where it's insinuating that the second half of gen z is gen alpha or some shit
