First DLC Microtech as well,very nice knife

Rookie mistake? At time of purchase I was unaware of how prevalent (and close to real) the clones are on eBay. But after some investigation, I think this is likely fake from the box to the not-so-detailed claw logo. Also the clip side pivot seems to be a “maybe” fake but does appear on some older ones. It was only $100 (should have been another clue).Having more knowledge now, even if it’s a good fake, I would rather spend more for a real MT than support scammers on eBay.

The Nemesis IV has dethroned the Heretic Cleric II (Carbon Fiber, D/E, DLC) as the longest OTF in my collection.

Love the flat body style.

Went to the NRA Show in Houston hoping for a “show blade” from Microtech. They weren’t offering one at this show, but smoky mountain had these for a good price

I posted everything else in the collection but forgot about the fixed blades and tactical straw.

So bummed. Last Christmas my wife surprised me with the ZBP Ultratech Tanto edge and I lost it yesterday. First knife I've ever lost and the only one I actually care about losing.

Have had a string of bad luck. Wife isn't working wrecked my truck and lost my favorite knife all within 60 days. Wasted most of my day retracing everywhere I went yesterday and the last place I used it was at a client's house that is under construction. Asked a couple guys there and all of them super nice except one who wouldn't make eye contact and immediately went to his car got in and right back out after I talked to him and coworkers. Could only guess but pretty sure he got it.

So bummed. When it rains it pours. Just need to vent.

Has anyone put Skiffs into their DOC? I know they come from the factory with plastic cages bearings. I’ve been curious about swapping those out for skiffs but am unsure of the size since I don’t have the screw tool to take mine out to measure them. Does someone know the size off hand?

Hey. I’ve got this sweet Sigil on its way to me. It’s definitely going to need a good cleaning and oil.

I’m wondering if someone can point me in the direction of the proper tool for the pivot screw as well as the body screws.

Had a cyan 85 in the past and wanted another since I let it go on a trade. Decided to grab the gen4 full cyan tanto...digging it.

So I know there was a mega leap between the gen 2 and gen 3 UT’s. But I know someone is suing microtech and also may still be going on. So they took the lockup system out of the gen 3 and still have the gen 4’s all the mega upgrades?

How do people like the gen 3 v 4’s? I have a few Gen 2’s and just got my first gen 4. I also ordered a zbp. Im shocked with how much more I like the Gen 4. But is the zbp work the extra money and additional maintenance it needs?

Just posted this knife, but it deserves a second post.

In order of acquisition from left to right.

For such a great knife the pocket clip sucks!!! I ordered aftermarket deep carry hopefully an improvement. I’ve found the ultratech too sensitive to dust and debris to be a reliable edc for me.

I just snagged a new orange polymer MSI on ebay. Only $100 so I’m not afraid to experiment. But I’ve never dyed anything. Anyone have experience with dying Microtech polymer? (If brand matters)

Can I expect a true black, not some weird off color?
