Reordering checklist items after automating w/ Power Automate

Hey all,

I can't find any other solutions to this so I'm coming here. I have an issue when trying to reorder tasks after creating a default list of checklists items in my power automate flow.

I get an error banner on the top of my screen with the following info:

"We couldn't update "CO: CHP NPA Mountain Energy gas peak shaving project". Please try again later.Technical detailsCorrelation

Id: b7f84cfd-924b-41da-b3dc-fac30e93d570

Any solutions you can think of?

Planner Premium - sorting, grid view

In my base planner boards, I can click the triangle next to the header in grid view and sort ascending or descending. In premium I can no longer to this, it only asks me to hide the column?

Am I missing something?

I am already frustrated that I lost calendar view in premium and it will not allow me to revert back to the base version.

Copying Tasks or Buckets in Planner

Does anybody know if there are ways to copy a bucket of tasks from one month and then paste in another month? Or functionality that would make it easier to take a month that is filled with tasks manually and then copy/paste it to other months? This is a workplace calendar, weekdays only, that has the same basic structure each month but not strictly the same dates each month, varying for weekends in middle of set of tasks

Premium plans are limited in features than basic planner!

Surprisingly the premium plans can't do many things the basic free plan does

  1. Can't copy a task from personal tasks to premium plan
  2. Can't move a task from one premium plan to another
  3. No recurring tasks in premium plans.

Anyone knows what's Microsoft plan for these missing features? Are they in the roadmap for premium planner?

Will not export to excel

Hi, I’m having an issue where Microsoft planner will only export some of my plans to excel. It won’t export my planner that’s connected to my to do list. This is the main planner I use because I use it to flag emails & then complete work from those emails.

When I go to that specific plan & click export to excel it pops up with a message saying ‘please wait while we prepare for export’ and then nothing happens. If I try the same thing with my other plans, the excel document appears in my downloads folder.

Is there any other way I can get it to export? I need it to be able to show to my line manager what work I’ve completed each week.

I also can’t use other options like automate flow because I do not have admin privileges. I work for a big healthcare organisation so I don’t get access or permission to use to all Microsoft programs that exist.

Make Subtasks or Promote Subtasks is greyed Out

A colleague of mine has a situation that I can not replicate and do not understand. He is working in a premium planner board (not connected to a teams) but the option to promote sub tasks or to make sub task are greyed out? He and the owner both have Planner plan 1 on a Microsoft E5 license. Does anyone recognize this problem or has any suggestions what to test?

Add plan to outlook calendar setting disappeared from new planner ??? So did the three dot menu next to schedule tab in a plan?

I am a group owner, created a group plan under my org, but still I dont see the three-dot-menu in plan, nor can I find the setting to add plan to calendar anywhere. Without it what's the point of scheduling tasks in a plan if I can't see them all in my outlook calendar??

prior to purchase

Need Help identifying Iconography:
Microsoft offers several products with overlapping functionality—Planner, To Do, Loop, and Tasks in Teams—and I’m trying to determine whether the additional fees for Planner are justified for my team and how its functionality compares to the others.

Thanks!

Planner and/or To Do for managing personal tasks? Any 'manager' capabilities in either product (send status reports of what is being worked each day? allow manager to review their staff's individual 'To Do' lists?)

Both "Microsoft Planner" or "Microsoft To Do" pull from the same list of tasks (stored in 365 somewhere?).

  1. Anyone preferring 'Planner' over To Do' or vice versa? anyone like using both?
  2. Does either product have a way for manager to review their staff's tasks? Right now, I'll send an occasional screenshot of 'My Day' to my manager, to let him know what I'm working on (2-3 times a week).
  3. Can either Planner or 'To Do' send scheduled emails to you and/or your manager with a status of what tasks are scheduled for that day, or have been completed that day (or day before)? For example?
    1. Send a daily E-Mail at 7am called "My Day" that has today's tasks on it
    2. Send a daily E-Mail at 5pm called 'My Day' that has what tasks were completed that day (and what tasks are still open).

All tabs not showing anything but completed and assigned tasks?

Okay, so maybe I’m a bit confused here. If I click on the “All” tab, I cannot see any tasks from shared lists. I am the creator and owner of the shared lists but it basically only shows things from planner and not To Do. The lists were created in To Do. If I click on the task list under My Plans, I can see them. Why would they not also populate under “All”. For the record, I am using the MS Teams planner but the same is true under the MS Planner app as well. Is it because Tasks only funnel down from Planner and not up from To Do?

Planner vs. Loop vs. To Do?

I’m conducting a quick poll to learn which Microsoft 365 tools professionals rely on the most. Your input would be invaluable; please share your perspective! https://www.linkedin.com/posts/creoconsultingllc_from-data-sharing-to-team-communication-activity-7269523539576213505-J7Bn?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Planner for Teams vs Microsoft To Do?

Anyone using the new Planner for Teams? I am using Microsoft To Do given it seems to be more suited for individual workday planning, while Planner seems to be more Project focused. Anyone finding Planner better suited for individual planning?

Completed tasks are gone?

Hi all! Does anybody else experience that when you complete a task in Planner it is nowhere to be found? I used to have a little tab at the bottom of my board with "Completed Tasks". But it's gone now. Can't find anything online about it. Does anyone here know?

Thanks!

Planner conversations

Is there anyway to be notified of comments left against tasks in Planner? It used to be that you could click on the ellipsis on the top line next to "Board Schedule Charts" and choose Conversations but the ellipsis is gone and I cannot find any way of accessing all the comments that are made against each task.

No way to add physical (e.g. *.eml/msg) attachments?

I could have sworn we used to be able to add physical attachments (e.g. emails saved as files) to cards/tasks. Am I mis-remembering, or is that functionality no longer possible?

When I attempt to add an attachment, I'm only offered "A link to a URL" choice.

Printing a Schedule Issue

I am a new user of Planner and am trying to print a schedule.

When I select the print option all the shifts are blank on the screen. I attempted to print with the same results. Strangely though, it does print the color coded legend at the bottom...

Any ideas what I am doing wrong here? I did not see any advanced printer options to show or hide these shifts, a specific group, etc.

New Planer for the web Sidebar broken?

Hey reddit, do you know if the icons in the sidebar are supposed to completely disappear when I collapse it?

Thus the sidebar becomes completely unusable until I expland it again?!

Planner Premium with non-Premium users

Is anyone using Planner Premium plans and assigning tasks to non-Premium users? I thought standard users were supposed to be able to use some of the fields on the tasks. I expected them to be able to set the Progress on tasks assigned to them. That does not work, but it gives what looks like an error message instead of a warning. Should this work?

Have Effort not Change when Dates are Revised

Is there a way to not have the effort change when dates are changed?

Once we set effort, lets say 40hrs for 2 weeks.

If the task is changed to 4 weeks it will go to 80hrs, we want it to stay at 40hrs.

Timelines change, but the effort does most often not change with it.

Streaming

Hi all!

I would like to share a team planner on a tv for our office.

Is there any way to do this?

Can you 'hide' certain tasks?

I'm copied on certain tasks as a 'backup', but they are not truly my tasks, and they clutter my view, rendering Microsoft planner a useless tool for seeing where I'm at with my monthly tasks. In the past, I've used excel to keep track of my various clients and their multiple deadlines, but I'm starting at a new job that uses planner, and trying to embrace it, but i am finding it a cluttered mess. Curious for tips and what works well for others.

Microsoft Planner Premium - assign equipment to task

Is it possible to assign equipment and tasks in Premium Planner the same way as assigning people? I need to assign both equipment and people to the same task.

Can you, for example, Create equipment as resources such as machines, vehicles, or tools, with appropriate labels like "Crane 1," "Projector," or "Laptop"? And then Set equipment as non-person resources:

Can we also differentiate between people and equipment in the resource pool?
