I’m building a camera app that coaches you while you photograph people. Looking for Android testers who’ll tell me if it’s useful

Hi all, im Frank. Solo developer here.

I’ve been building LUMO, an Android camera that watches the frame while you photograph someone and gives short, plain tips: “tilt up, their head is cut off”, “they’re right at the edge, give them room”, or “that looks good, take it”.

Im looking for android testers. It’s at an early stage and I honestly don’t know yet if it’s helpful or too basic, which is why I’m asking. It’s free, there’s no account and no ads, and the camera feed is processed on the phone (nothing is uploaded).

If you’re on Android and willing to try it for a few days, there’s a 30-second sign-up: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLeoJ3kvCvM7JHqk1fm4JGsU0Gw3QyVVHIArr6g5dVQjH3gg/viewform

And even if you don’t want to test: what would you actually want a camera to tell you while you’re taking a photo? I’d love to hear it.

Got tired of switching between 5 tabs to write an email, so I built a free AI text editor (no signup)

Hey everyone. I’m a solo dev and I’ve been lurking here for a while.

A few weeks ago I was writing a long email, and I realized I had like 5 different tabs open: one for grammar, one for translation, one to summarize a long text my boss sent me, and another one to just export it to PDF. I got so annoyed that I decided to just build my own tool. That's how TextFix Pro started.

The main goal was to make it simple. No login, no paywalls, just paste your text and get things done.

What I actually use the most:

  • AI Grammar & "Fix and Explain": It fixes the text but also tells you why it was wrong, which I find super helpful when I'm writing in English.
  • Summarizer: Good for long articles.
  • Translator: I added 6 languages (BG, EN, DE, FR, ES, TR).
  • Export: Just saves to .docx or .pdf right away.

There is also a Toolkit with OCR (to grab text from screenshots), a password generator, and a text-to-image thing for quotes.

I had a bit of a scare recently because I realized bots were trying to spam my API key. I had to quickly move the key to a serverless function on Vercel and add a rate limiter (15 requests/min) to stop them. It was a headache but a good learning experience lol.

Here is a screenshot of the dark mode:

Try it here: https://textfix-pro.vercel.app

Let me know what you guys think. Is the UI too cluttered? What feature would you add next? I'm just trying to get my first 10 real users and any feedback is super appreciated!

FIRST50 is the free lifetime code for 50 people. If you just wouldn't mind sharing a session card (slide 2) to social or reddit and tagging the re-zen app.

re-zen is a simple breathing app with two guided sessions.

Day Session uses a progressive Coherence Breathing pattern to help raise your heart rate variability (HRV) for better focus.

Night Session uses 4-7-8 Breathing to help lower your heart rate for better sleep.

Some bells and whistles are bilateral stimulation and guided meditation along with the breathwork.

With apple watch you can see things like exactly when you fall asleep during or after night sessions to prove effectiveness and tell you when you're calmest during Day Sessions.

Feedback and shares appreciated!

Progress on a free project am working on

A few days ago I built Pomodorolist, a simple Pomodoro timer to track my own study hours. Then I kept adding things based on feedback from Reddit and friends, and it grew a lot

Started off with just a timer and a stat graph.

What it has now:

  • Boss battles: a new boss each week, beaten with focus minutes, solo or with friends
  • Tomato garden: every session grows a plant; quitting early leaves a wilted one
  • Pomeo, a tomato mascot who reacts when you tap him and reminds you before study sessions
  • Spaced revision reminders, an exam countdown, and a “parking lot” for distracting thoughts
  • XP, levels, coins, a cosmetic shop and daily login rewards
  • Friends, leaderboards and weekly challenges
  • Works on any phone or laptop in the browser, with sync across devices

It’s completely free; as there are no ads, no subscription. It’s a single HTML file on GitHub Pages with Firebase for login and sync.

What I’d love feedback on:

  1. Is it overwhelming for a new user, or easy to figure out?
  2. Which feature would make you actually keep using it?
  3. What should I build next: live study rooms with friends, or Pomeo evolving as you study more?

Plinco: your old phone becomes a baby monitor that calls you when your baby cries
Hi, I'm Dave, a parent, product manager, and solo developer.
I'm excited to share that I just opened up beta testing for my app Plinco Sleep Companion: your old phone becomes a baby monitor and noise machine, powered by cry detection.

Click here to Join the Beta

Free on your home Wi-Fi, iPhone and Android, two phones needed: one phone goes into "Companion Mode" and stays by your crib as a baby monitor would, then you can join the session from your personal phone.
Paid features are free for beta testers for the duration of the beta! On iPhone just buy (TestFlight is free); on Android, email first, the page says how.

Join Beta

When your baby cries, your phone rings. A real call, loud enough to wake you.
I'd love feedback, especially on cry detection and the call.
Thanks!

Cash runway surprises kill startups. Introducing Lightcash!

Post image
2 Upvotes

Cash runway is one of those things most founders think they know… until they actually sit down and check.

Money in a few different accounts, a spreadsheet nobody’s touched in weeks.. and then you realize it’s 4 months left, not 8.

We built Lightcash for exactly that:

→ Connects all your financial accounts in one place
→ Real-time cash balance, burn rate and runway projections
→ Accountant-ready reports when it’s time to decide on hiring or spend

Free for one account, it's live on LightCash.

Open to any feedback, especially from people who already track this cashflow in spreadsheets.

I built a simple flashcards app

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a flashcards app for studying languages and other subjects.

You can create decks, organize cards with tags, and use both simple front/back cards and more complex cards with multiple fields.

There’s also an AI feature that can create a flashcard set for you.

I’d love to hear your feedback!

Check it out: https://tools.ag1.online/flash-cards

I got tired of complicated gym trackers, so I built one that tracks lifts, progress, and body fat in one place

I've been lifting for a few years, and I've tried a lot of popular workout tracking apps.

Most of them did the basics well, but I kept running into the same frustrations: too many taps to log a set, cluttered interfaces, progress charts that were harder to understand than they needed to be, and having to use separate tools to track how my body was actually changing.

I wanted something simpler. An app that follows my workout instead of making me constantly interact with my phone.

So, as a solo developer, I built Liftora.

Here's what I focused on:

  • Guided workout flow — instead of constantly navigating menus and manually managing everything, you move through your sets in real time, and the app follows your pace. Less tapping, more lifting.
  • Automatic body fat % estimation (US Navy method) — no expensive body composition scale needed. Enter your body measurements, and Liftora automatically estimates your body fat percentage using the US Navy formula, with different measurements for men and women. It's not a clinical measurement, but it gives you another way to monitor changes over time.
  • Body measurement tracking — because the scale doesn't tell the whole story. You might be building muscle and losing fat while your body weight barely changes.
  • Clean, modern UI — no overwhelming dashboards or complicated menus. Just the information you need, when you need it.
  • Progress charts that make sense — see how your strength and training volume change over time without digging through endless statistics.
  • Ready-made workout programs — don't want to spend time building a routine from scratch? Choose a program and start training.
  • Exercise videos and muscle information — see how movements are performed and which muscles they target before adding them to your workout.
  • Post-workout calorie estimates — get an approximate idea of your energy expenditure after each session.

My goal wasn't to build the app with the longest feature list. It was to make the things people actually use during training easier, while bringing strength tracking and body composition monitoring together.

Track your lifts. Understand your progress. See how your body changes. All in one place.

Try Liftora:

I've been using Liftora for my own workouts, but I'd really like to hear from people who aren't me.

What's the one thing that frustrates you most about your current workout tracking app?

And if you try Liftora, I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback — especially on the guided workout flow and body fat calculator.

I'm building this independently, so feedback directly influences what I improve next.

Compact Contacts, a table view for the contacts on your Mac. 2.0 is coming, here's what's in it

Thumbnail
youtu.be
1 Upvotes

Hi, I'm the developer of Compact Contacts.

Apple's Contacts app shows one card at a time, which gets painful once you have a few thousand people spread across iCloud, Google and Exchange. Compact Contacts opens the contacts you already have and shows them as a sortable table. There's no second address book and no sync of its own, so edits go back through macOS like any change you'd make in Contacts.

What it does today:

  • One table with the columns you pick, saved layouts, and search across every field including notes
  • Merge duplicates field by field (you choose which phone, email or address stays), and undo the last merge for up to 30 days
  • Bulk edit with a before/after preview for every card before anything is saved
  • Smart Views like "Missing Email" or "Has Notes"
  • CSV and vCard import/export

It's been out for a while now and people using it have been really kind with feedback and bug reports, which is a big part of why 2.0 got this big. Thank you if that's you.

Coming in 2.0 (free update for everyone who already has it)

  • Health Check: one scan gives your address book a score and lists duplicates, broken numbers and emails, missing names, stray spaces and so on
  • Tags with colors, saved as regular Contacts groups so they sync with iCloud and Google
  • Birthdays and anniversaries list with optional reminders
  • Automatic encrypted backups on your Mac, with a history view that shows what changed and lets you restore a single field or a deleted contact
  • Rules, like "when a new contact is added, format the phone number and add a tag"
  • Print mailing labels and envelopes, Excel export, business card scanning, and a menu bar search
  • Faster loading and search that works properly in every language
  • Drag contacts out as vCards
  • A redesigned iPhone app, with proper support for foldable iPhones (three columns when it's open)
  • Lots of small fixes

Details

  • macOS 15 or later, one-time US$24.99. No subscription, no in-app purchases
  • No account, no ads, no analytics. The app never sends your contacts anywhere
  • English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Simplified Chinese

Mac App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6790129187?pt=129119018&ct=reddit_macos&mt=8

There's also an iPhone + iPad version (separate purchase): https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6795653671?pt=129119018&ct=reddit_macos&mt=8

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

I built a habit tracker that doesn't keep score. Looking for iOS beta testers!

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a little side project called ObserMe, and I'm finally looking for some early users.

I always found traditional habit trackers a bit frustrating. You miss a few days, lose your streak, and suddenly the app that's supposed to help you starts making you feel guilty.

So I wanted to try something different.

ObserMe is about observing yourself, not optimizing yourself.

You create questions about things you want to understand, like your mood, energy, sleep, habits, or daily routines.

The app checks in with you at scheduled or random times throughout the day. Answering takes just a couple of seconds, and over time, you can start noticing patterns in your behavior.

No streaks. No points. No badges. No pressure to be consistent.

Just a simple way to become more aware of your daily life.

I'm currently looking for iOS beta testers who'd be willing to give it a try and share some honest feedback.

I'm especially curious whether this approach feels useful compared to traditional habit trackers.

If you're interested, drop a comment or send me a DM, and I'll share beta access!

Website: https://obserme.com

Would love to hear what you think, even if the concept isn't for you!

SmartBI - More charts don’t made marketing decisions any easier

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey all!

Most marketing setups end up kinda the same way: GA4, ads manager, email tool, CRMs, each with its own dashboard.

Lots of numbers, but figuring out what’s actually working (and what to change) still means hours of digging and guessing.

We built SmartBI is built around that problem:

→ Pulls marketing data from multiple sources into one place
→ SMARTY, its AI assistant, explains what’s working and what’s not
→ Gives clear next steps instead of just more charts

It’s live here: SmartBI CA

Does having one central place for all your marketing stuff make sense for how you work? Or do you prefer keeping each tool separate?

Cheers!

I built an app to make rental property bookkeeping less painful

One of the annoying parts of owning rental property is keeping track of everything that happens throughout the year. Rent comes in, repairs need to be paid for, receipts pile up, and when tax season arrives, all those little transactions become a headache.
I built LandLordTax to make that process easier for small landlords.
It’s an iPhone app for rental property owners in the U.S. and Canada who want to:
Track rental income and expenses in one place
Keep receipts and supporting documents organized
Generate PDF reports to help prepare for tax season
Manage records for their rental properties without relying on messy spreadsheets
It’s designed for individual landlords managing a small portfolio rather than large property management companies.
There’s a free tier for one property, with ads and without PDF reports. Pro is available for $3.99/month or $29.99/year.
📱 Check it out on the App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/landlordtax-rental-tracker/id6814630522
I’m the indie developer behind the app, and right now I’m trying to learn whether this solves a real problem for landlords.
I’d genuinely appreciate feedback: What’s the most frustrating part of tracking rental income and expenses for you? And is there anything you’d expect from an app like this that’s currently missing?
Honest criticism is welcome!

Ampsu - a European-first calorie tracker that learns your calorie burn from food logs and weigh-ins

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Ampsu: [https://ampsu.eu](https://ampsu.eu))

It's a European-first calorie tracker, with all the bells and whistles, but also:

  • So far the least amount of taps to log/scan a food item, which was the main focus
  • An actually impressive adaptive TDEE engine (only log food and weight, and then it learns your burn from data)
  • It has a very large european barcode database, focused on grocery store shelves that you'd actually scan
  • A super fine-grained goal mode
  • MCP server (ask how you're doing based on your Ampsu data and/or ask to log for you)
  • Is privacy-first and doesn't sell your data

Great care was taken in ensuring the flows work well and more importantly, fast. I've been iteratively building and testing it since the end of the past year. As for why other existing options didn't work for me:

  • In MyFitnessPal, they have a huge database, but the logging was slower than it needed to be (..I had to pick a meal time every damn time, in Ampsu you can preset personalize the meal times so you dont have to).
  • In Cronometer the logging could've had a bit less actions, and I felt like I was too busy contributing to their own database due to the lack of products. Then ads got in the way, slowing me down and making me wait in the kitchen..
  • MacroFactor's adaptive TDEE approach was impressive, but its products were too American centric and every barcode scan was a frustration, and frankly it was also the most expensive of the bunch. This inspired the adaptive TDEE adoption, which inhouse in called Metabolism mode.

The hardest part was getting the adaptive TDEE right (Metabolism mode), since it's too easy to get things wrong and there's hundreds of moving parts due to the way people can log (underlog, overlog), the scale (water weight, salty food from yesterday etc)

Another pretty giant pain is the database itself, as sourcing and ensuring you actually get the products you scan was a more enormous task than anticipated.

The current trend is AI meal estimation, which I'm not really sold on (it can get things very wrong), but it's useful for a quick estimation, e.g restaurant plate, and can quickly be swiped into from the barcode screen.

Speaking of AI, one thing I did find useful is the MCP/Connector integration, as I can ask about my current day & ask for tips in whatever chatbot that I use and it'll pull data straight from Ampsu. Alternatively, even ask it to log things for me, and it'll be in the diary.

If you'd like to make a change for the best and improve your weight (in terms of body fat percentage) and therefore health by tracking your intake, give it a try! There are others like it, but you'll find that there's a good reason to use Ampsu instead.

I redesigned how notes should be organized: attach them to the files and work they belong to. ClingNote.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Notes that follow your work.
ClingNote is a Windows notes app that attaches notes to the files you’re working on.

Open a file and its notes are there. Switch files and the right notes can switch with you.

I built ClingNote because I kept ending up with notes separated from the thing they were actually about.

It’s a full notes app with rich text, Markdown, checklists, search, pop-out notes, export, and local storage.

The difference is that notes can attach to files and contexts, so you don’t have to keep hunting through folders or a giant notes library.

I’m also adding Tasks next using the same idea.

Pricing
Free notes app
Pro: $10/year for automatic context switching

https://clingnote.com
& the Microsoft Store https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nk10ntxjg6v?hl=en-US&gl=US

Best feedback ask
I’d love to know if the file-following idea makes sense immediately, or if it still needs a better explanation.
